Shawn was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma on Oct. 3, 2000, at 3 years old.
After almost 2 years of treatment, he relapsed on February 20, 2002.
He turned 5 on Sept. 15th, 2002 and his prognosis was very poor.
He lost his battle with neuroblastoma on January 11, 2003.
I want to thank you all for visiting and thinking of us.

Journal

I know it has been a year tomorrow since I updated but I have been busy with delivering newspapers and babysitting for my SIL. Corey Graduated from the 8th grade about 3 weeks ago. Now my baby will be in high school next year. I am kind of sad about that. And if Shawn was still here he would be going into Jr. High. My niece Allison will be a 7th grader and her and Shawn would have been in the same grade. I miss you Shawn more everyday that passes. I think about you everyday. I love you and miss you sooooooooo very much. well I better go and figure out what Curt and I are having for dinner because Corey is going to his cousin Steven's baseball game tonight with his Aunt Donna and Uncle Tom (Curt's brother and sisterinlaw). Love to you and god bless. Mel
