A perfect example of what’s on back of shirt “We don’t know how strong we are until being strong is the only choice we have.”

When we first met you gravitated towards it immediately and I was shocked of the impact it had. I read your journal and now have a better understanding of why the immediate response.

Michaela fighting cancer at such a young age is the will of the human spirit to live on. Your story touched my heart and what really stood out was the strength and positive attitude of Michaela and your family to persevere.

You can take all the athletes in the world with all their hard training and doesn't even come close to one person’s battle with cancer. Cancer patients are the TRUE HEROES!

All my best to your beautiful family and talk soon Jen.

Hi Kim and family, this is Lisa Emma's mom and I wanted to say what an honor it was to meet you at Emma's benefit and I am glad that I got the chance to talk to you both. I didn't think we would ever meet anyone else with Rhabdomysarcoma and it gives us great hope to see how well Michaela is doing and that she has been in remission for so long. I have read some of your story and wow there are so many similarities that it it almost scary. When we first found out about Emma having cancer we felt so alone and it was really scary but after seeing all the support from friends, family and even strangers it helps give you a sense of peace.
Emma was so excited to have Michaela sign her yearbook on Friday and she came home and showed both Ted and I.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences and some of your stories, I would love to talk to you more and would love to get together with you sometime. Emma is just getting started and has a long way to go to get to remission but with God's help and everyone's prayers I know she to will get there.

I was pleased to read about Micheala's encouraging story. The similiarities are unbelieveable to my daughter. She was diagnosed early July of 2008 with Rhabdomyosarcoma of the sinuses and should be finishing treatment April of 2009. (42 weeks of VAC) She also received proton radiation in Indiana. She is currently 7 years old. In the beginning the drs. thought it was a sinus infection also. We only have 5 more VAC's left and I am so anxious for springtime. Hopefully we will get good results like Michaela.

Your latest update brought a smile to my face and filled me with hope! Someone I am very close to is receiving treatment for rhabdomyosarcoma of the sinuses and has been through a lot of ups and downs. Your story is very encouraging. It is so wonderful to see a happy ending!

Was pleased to find your site since I have a son with the same illness as your daughter and it started the same way. He is at the end of his chemo treatment, 1 more to go and then he will have to take tablets for six months a long with injections. We live in Sweden and as it is very rare it is hard to find someone else with Rhabdo. Would be great to hear from you since we need some positive feedback right now. Sincerely Jessica in Sweden

Hi Micheala, I'm so glad to see you're doing so good. My daughter Josephine was diagnosed w/Rhabdomyosarcoma last year in mid June. She finished her last chemo treatment this past April 1. Right now we're fighting a sinus infection which she has had for the past three weeks. She was on Augmentin which didn't seem to help. Yesterday she was prescribed Omnicef, which she's scheduled to be on for 3-weeks. As I read your journal it was like reading our story. I'm so happy to read that everything has turned out soooooooo GREAT!!! It's a big relief. Josie goes in for post treatment scans on May 12th,you know the drill. Please pray for her, she's been doing really great and we hope it stays that way. Thank you and take care.

on her website and decided to visit your website. I am so
glad I read through it and got to know you, your family, and

about her illness. I am so happy that you are now "cured"

able to do. Thank you for sharing your website with us, it

Hi Michaela,
I just stopped by to say "praise the Lord". I've been in this mode every since he spared our little boy and when I see other families with children in the same situation it just draws me back to where he met me.

I'm happy to know your going to grow up and be a beautiful young lady and have strong faith in your life. I pray the Lord's blessing over you and your family; blessing of good health, joy and strength. Peace that surpasses all understanding.

Remember if the Lord leads you to it, he'll see you through it. Your friend in Christ.

Michaela and family,

This is a survivor page; there's no new disease here. Don't think it, expect it, except it or speak it. This little princess is going to be just fine.

I pray the Lord Jesus speak life and health back into this situation and into Michaela's body. I pray you give wisdom to the doctors to identify and treat this condition today.

I ask for agreement in prayer that peace and comfort come to the family as they wait for the results that match the Lord's report. Lord bless them this moment with a peace that surpasses all of our human understanding. Shine your face upon each of them as they seek the comfort that only you can provide.

Remind them father: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 You created us all, you know the number of hairs on our heads and the paths we will take. Order our steps to you for life and life more abundantly.

I pray in the name of Jesus.

Jen, Try to take deep breaths and go through your daily routines till those Feb. scans. Odds are pretty high that it's NOT cancer. But after going through what you've been through I know (first hand) how hard it is to stay focused on the "odds". I would think that if those growth injections were going to cause anything it'd take alot longer than this...wouldn't you think?

I know that the next scan date seems like forever away but it'll be here before you know it and you'll get the "good" news that you are wanting.

I'll be watching for updates.
Hugs

Punkin, what arre you trying to do to us? You know no matter what happens we are a very strong family and we can beat anything. I pray for you and your family everyday. You are my lil punkin and nothing is going to take you down. Love you much. By the way Jen, I would like a phone call when these kind of things happen, now since we don't have our daily e-mail chats. Call me any time but expecially when something like this happens.

Darling Michaela, You don't know me, but I am a nurse from Texas, who met your mom and dad on the Internet. Your mom gave me your web page address, and now that I have read all about you, I feel as if I might know you. You are beautiful, and I am so proud for you and your family, that you have been able to beat this cancer! What a long road it was to get you to the end, but it all paid off, didn't it? You are an incredible inspiration to others and I know that God has such a special plan for you in your life. I am so proud to know all about you, and without my ever seeing you in person, or hearing your precious voice, you have touched my heart deeply. May God forever hold you in his arms ever so tightly, and bring only sunshine into your life every day for the next 100 years! All my love, Patti

Hi Michaela, Jen, Andy and Kaitlin, It is me Linda, the nurse from Fairview Lakes in Wyoming. I don't know if you still remember me Michaela but I sure do remember you. The girls at Fairview Lakes told me that you stopped by not long ago and they said you look great. It is good to hear you are doing so well. Well you will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Let me just say that I know what you are going through & my prayers are with you all. My daughter (now 5) was diagnosed at the age of 3 as well. She was a perfectly healthy 3 year old & she started dropping things on the floor. We immediately took her to the doctor & they said that nothing was wrong. Within the week she got so bad that we took her to Children's Hospital where she was immediately admitted. Lindsey is currently in remission (thank God) after a year of chemo & radiation. However, due to the cancer Lindsey now cannot see. We do an awful lot of praying. We are currently searching for eye doctors that might be able to help her. Please keep her in your prayers that we will be able to find help for her soon.

Our Lissette had the same thing...same story. Her cancer was Alvoelar Rhabdomyosarcoma... Her illness started in Feb of 99 and ended when it claimed her life Oct. 14, 1999...It was very fast and aggressive and it attacked the brain stem. She was only three years old. Enjoy Michaela and her siblings for we never know how long we have them for.

Hi Sweet Little Michaela!

You and your family don't know me but I saw your mom's entry in Kirstin Richard's guestbook. You are such a precious, beautiful little angel, and your mom is so kind and thoughtful to think of someone else who is ill. I pray God's blessings on you and your family and I will also ask my church to pray.

Hi, I am a Volunteer Coordinator for a non-profit organization called, WHY Me, Inc. I work with children who have cancer. I find that children who have cancer are so wise beyond their years, they have taught me so much about life. Our Organization helps the families with their everyday struggles. We offer Emotional, and financial help; as you well know one parent needs to quit their job and the expenses just seem to grow. I love my job and These families I have been working with all these years have become a part of my own family.

I pray for you and your family and that with a Good outlook and Faith Miracles are always occuring.

I thought maybe I could tell you a couple of jokes to cheer you up. I hope you like them! Here goes: Which story do all little witches love to hear at bedtime? Ghoul Deluxe and the Three Scares. Hi Michaela! My name is Terri Thatcher and I'm a friend of your uncle Joe's. Your uncle told me you were sick, and I justed wanted to say hello, I'm glad that you're feeling better. I know its tough to be sick like you are. My husband Randy has cancer, and he has to have chemo treatments. He gets pretty sick too. The few days after chemo are no fun- but we always remember its only for a few days and when he feels better- we go and do something fun! You should try it, it makes us feel better! I'm hoping that you get well and stay well- Take Care and God Bless you! TERRI

Greetings. So glad to hear all is going well. Thank goodness. Glad to hear you have made some new friends and can network with others in similar situations. Also, good idea to print out the guest book and stuff. Hope you took some pictures in Boston too. It will be good to have this later on when Pooh is older. My daughter, Holly, had extensive hip surgery from ages 3-7 and we kept a scrapbook for her from the beginning. She recently thanked me for it because parts of it she couldn't remember. (She's almost 21 now.)

Say Jenn, I talked to someone from your office this week. They said if you need more hours, they'd be glad to donate more. What a great group you have up there.

Will continue to remember everyone in our prayers and send lots of love and hugs. Thela
