This amazing God-send song was written for our Emma Grace the night after she earned her angel wings by my precious Cousin Nancy. Nancy sweetly sang this in honor of our Emma Grace at her Life Celebration Service but more importantly, to glorify God. Perfect, Nancy, just perfect!! We Love You!!

This I Know (For Emma Grace)

To the world it is a tragedy.
To us, it remains a mystery
Why this baby girl has had to suffer so.
But the Bible tells us Jesus’ grace
Has flown her to a higher place
Where things make sense and everything’s made right.

And those blue eyes see clearly what we can’t
Tiny ears are listenin’ to a live angel band
She’s dancin’ round the Lord on little tippy toes
Singin’ Jesus loves me this I know.

Though it seems our hearts will break now
As we say our earth’s goodbyes,
We know it’s not that long before we meet
Together in some fancy place our Father’s made for us.
We’ll bow down with Emma Grace at His Son’s feet.

And those blue eyes see clearly what we can’t
Tiny ears are listenin’ to a live angel band
She’s dancin’ round the Lord on little tippy toes
Singin’ Jesus loves me this I know.

Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus loves me
Today He told me so.

And those blue eyes see clearly what we can’t
Tiny ears are listenin’ to a live angel band
She’s dancin’ round the Lord on little tippy toes
Singin’ Jesus loves me this I know.

Okie dokie ... this is way WAY overdue but trust me, you are never far from thoughts and always in our heart.

First and foremost ... My heart has been full with many overwhelming emotions lately and the gift of friendships God has given is continues to be absolutely amazing. Your faithfulness confirms these are truly gifts from Him and His unconditional love. And who can overlook His grace ... wow!! I constantly stand in awe. So, saying all that ... let me just say thank you!
It's been nearly 5 yrs since Emma Grace blazed a dancin trail thru Heaven's gates and you still walk the journey with us.

Ok ... in a nutshell, Eli is hopefully graduating on May 22nd. He's making me a nervous wreck - "senior-itis" is in full swing. Is there an antibiotic or antedote??? (smile) He is making it by the skin of his teeth right now in his academics. Let's all pray we actually get to wear the cap & gown.

He has officially joined the Army National Guard and LOVES IT!!!! He has been to 2 drills already and leaves for boot camp Fort Sill Oklahoma on July 7th. *(Are you sensing my many emotions in the first paragraph???)* Yesterday he signed up for a technical college in Nashville TN which means he will transfer units after basic to go to school. The initial purpose of his decision to go military was primarily for the education. I think he will do well in the USANG which will bring out some great qualities of Eli's personality that a Momma can see. He was so encouraged to get to be squad leader at his drills. I see him being a good leader when he gets "Eli" out of the way.
Please say a prayer for his studies and this huge transition as my little man finds his way thru his journey of life. I know God has great plans for him and I pray he continues to listen.

I know as our sweet Emma Grace's 5 yr angelversary quickly approaches that sends the emotion meter way up the chart. Throw in Eli's graduation, military departings and well just life as we know it ... there you have it. But I can honestly say, my children are the greatest gifts and blessings I could ever have imagined. Yes, hers was shorter than we expected but I can't comprehend our lives without her being part of it. I can assure Eli agrees 100%. We have lotz & lotz of amazing memories of our Amazing Emma Grace.

Ok .. gotta run. Know you hold a place in my heart that belongs to none other. Thank you for your continued prayers & friendships. I trust God is filling your baskets with blessings beyond.

Only by His Grace - Trish
