Miracle Myles

WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME,

Myles is now 6 years out of treatment. As God often does he reminded me, that this will never be over. Myles's battle may be over but the need for folks to know what God did for us is still there.
Myles continues to do extremely well; he shows no signs of Neuroblastoma, Not even one side affect (other than some nasty scars, that he proudly will display at just the moment you hope he wont)
Myles was DX with stage 3 on July 28, 2000 when he was 5 months old. Dr's planned to remove the tumor through surgery but found it was too big and entangled with too many organs, so we opted for chemo, and prayers. (7 treatments of Chemo, BMT, 14 treatments of radiation, and I believe millions and millions of prayers)
Myles is now a strapping 7 year old, with big brown eyes, who in his own mind is a comedian (he is very funny). He loves The Dukes of Hazzard, video games, and watching movies
The lasting effects of having a child with cancer will be with me forever, there are times when this all seems like a bad dream, that it really didnt happen.
I can never say enough good things about our little community, they are amazing. I never knew so many people could love and pray for one child so much. No doubt the prayers worked! I believe God has a great plan for his life. Myles talks of God often in a way that I don’t always understand, he has visions of Heaven, that he will sometimes share with me, when we are having "snuggle time". He talks of Cancer children that have passed (especially Dillon), like he saw them just that day.
I would also like to add that I am so grateful for the staff at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, they are the best in the World!!

Myles's newest passion "GIRLS" this little guy is so in love with Girls. All girls, young and old alike!

Mark 1:17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

~ He's My Son ~
by Mark Schultz

I'm down on my knees again tonight
I'm hope'n this prayer will turn out right
See, there is a boy that needs your help
I've done all that I can do myself
His mother is tired
I'm sure you can understand
Each night as he sleeps
She goes in to hold his hand
And she tries
Not to cry
As the tears fill her eyes

Can you hear me
Am I getting through tonight
Can you see him
Can you make him feel all right
If you can hear me
Let me take his place somehow
See, he's not just anyone, he's my son

Sometimes late at night I watch him sleep
I dream of the boy he'd like to be
I try to be strong and see him through
But God, who he needs right now is you
Let him grow old
Live life without this fear
What would I be
Living without him here
He's so tired
And he's scared
Let him know that you're there

Can you hear me
Am I getting through tonight
Can you see him
Can you make him feel all right
If you can hear me
Let me take his place somehow
See, he's not just anyone, he's my son

TIME OF YOUR LIFE
BY Green Day
Another turning point
a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist
directs you where to go,
So make the best of this test and don't ask why,
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time,

(chorus)
It's something unpredictable
but in the end it's right
i hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time,
Tattoos and memories of skin on trial
For what it's worth,
it was worth all the while.

(chorus)
It's something unpredictable,
but in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life
