I created this page to raise awareness about alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, to let people know about my thoughts, and how I am doing. To view my original diagnosis and first battle, click on READ JOURNAL HISTORY (at the top of the page).

Thursday, July 10, 2008 0:24 AM CDT Hey everyone! Thanks so much for the continued guestbook messages/words of support. I love hearing from you.
Work is getting better.. slowly. I have been getting tons of hours. I worked straight through the weekend and have had 8.5 hr work days every day since last Thursday. I have 2 more days of work and then I get this weekend off - woohoo!! Looking forward to the break and seeing some friends.
I received an amazing beautiful hand-made quilt from a volunteer group that creates quilts for cancer survivors!! AMAZING!! The lady that made mine is a retired lady that lives in NC. The group is non-profit -- in fact, the volunteers have to pay for the quilt-making supplies AND shipping. I sent them some fundraising suggestions as I feel so bad that they have to spend their own money on top of everything else. Creating the quilt is enough of a gift in itself!!
When I get a minute, I will post a picture of the quilt!
