Welcome to Caitlin's website
we're so glad that you are here
We want you to get to know her
and in her daily life to share

Some days are tougher then others
and when these days are found
Little Caity-Did finds comfort
when her loving family is around

She enjoys watching Sponge Bob
with his pet snail, Gary's his name
And that sweet Strawberry Shortcake
is another favorite of Caity fame

Please settle in and stay awhile
to read about Caity's daily life
If you are like us, it's a must
and we give you this advice

Be prepared to fall in love
your heart she'll surely steal
When you fall in love with Caity
It's forever and it's for real

Welcome to my very own home on the web! My name is Caitlin and I am nine years old. When I was only a little over 16 months old I had a reaction to my routine vaccinations and I developed Partial complex (focal) epilepsy and Autism as a result. In the first few entries of my journal history you can read my story as told by my mom Mary. The road has been a long one, and at times is hard yet I am doing very well! I am mainstreamed in a regular third grade class this year and I am very smart! Currently I am obsessed with Sponge Bob Square Pants, and I love his snail Gary too! Gary and I go way back though! When I was five we went to a fair and I had an autistic meltdown so terrible that my daddy was forced to spend $40 on a game just so I could take home a Gary the snail of my very own!

Hi My name is Mary and I’m the mother of 4 beautiful and unique daughters. My oldest Kristen age 14 is beautiful, bright and funny and has a Autism Spectrum disorder known as Aspergers. Kristen loves music and Art and her passion is for graphic art where she is quite talented. Kristen also enjoys hanging out with her best friend Heather and always does what she can whenever I need a hand. She is a true blessing to my heart and I thank God for her each and everyday.

My second born daughter Stephanie is 12 years old and has Polyarticular Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and also suffers from Hypermobility. Stephanie struggles with the pain and mobility problems that arthritis brings yet she is a fighter and keeps on going no matter what! She takes a Chemo drug known as Methotrexate to help her combat the inflammation of her Juvenile Rheumatoid arthritis which is extremely severe, and in addition she takes Celebrex, Tramadol, Planquinil, Naproxen, Prevacid, Zantac ; Solaraze Gel for her joints and Leucovorin; in addition to steroids when she is in a really bad flare, including pills or IV Steroids at the hospital. Stephanie also gets abnormal lymph nodes in her abdomen, the result of her autoimmune illness, that cause her tremendous pain, as well as frequent infections from her Methotrexate therapy because it lowers her immunity even more. Stephanie has bone cysts in her ankle as a result of her arthritis and we are trying to prevent damage to her bones and joints by managing her flares and other severe symptoms with all of her various medications. Sometimes it feels as if some of these medications are doing more harm than good because they cause undesirable side effects, but we have been assured that things could always be worse and they are helping so we continue to have faith in the Doctors and above all in God who we know is in control no matter how bad things sometimes seem. Stephanie is also a blessing to us and continues to teach us so much about patience and faith.

Our third born daughter Caitlin age 10 is a beautiful, sweet, smart and loving little girl who always brings sunshine into our hearts. She was diagnosed with autism when she was 5 and also with Partial Complex epilepsy with focal seizures. She has come a very long way from where she was thanks be to God, who is the reason she is doing so very well! Caity-Did as we fondly nicknamed her as a toddler is always concerned about doing the right thing and loves Hannah Montana, and Sponge Bob and computers. She has a collection of Hannah Montana T-Shirts and wants to wear one every day, she is obsessed, but in such a good way. Caitlin is integrated into a mainstream classroom for part of the day and also attends special ed classes through ESE at school. Caity’s teachers adore her, and I have heard wonderful compliments from them regarding my beautiful daughter, I am so proud to be her Mommy and would not trade her for the world.

My youngest Meagan age 5, is my little Diva! Meagan is funny, rambunctious, adorable and mischievous! Meagan loves pink, and prefers to wear dresses each and every day if I would let her. She loves to sleep in and does not like to wake up in the morning for school. Meagan likes to wear girly shoes and clomp around the house, and at the same time she acts like a tomboy and can amaze you with some of the things she does and says. Meagan’s favorite pastimes include swimming, going to McDonalds for Happy Meals and putting little boys in their place when she thinks she is being patronized. For some reason, all of the little boys are drawn to her, like I said she is a little Diva! Meagan epitomizes the look of a princess yet with more attitude! I am so glad that God chose me to be Meagan's Mommy, she keeps me going!

So there is a little bit about my four beautiful daughters! This is a blog that helps me find support when I need it most. I started the page initially for Caitlin, however it evolved to be my lifeline for her sister Stephanie, because Stephanie has really suffered these past few years. Thanks for checking in and God Bless you for your prayers and support of my beautiful family.
