Welcome to James Marshall's web page, it has been created to keep our loved ones, family and friends updated on Marshall's brave battle with neuroblastoma.

Journal

Wow. It has been a long time since I have updated, but as I have been known to say, no news is good news.

We are just relaxing, enjoying our summer. Marshall just had his one year follow up exam with Dr. Joyce, and providing his labs come back o.k., we are still in the clear. But we will always be worried, you know how it is- out of the woods, but always at the edge of the forest.

Marshall is playing the video game for the movie Cars right now, I hear him laughing, he is having a blasty. He's still such a cutie. I thought after five-years-old they aren't supposed to be so cute anymore.

We haven't gone anywhere major this summer, we've just gone to the pool, the beach, fishing, the park, just fun little things, nothing mind-blowing. But Marshall has been having fun and that is all the matters. I took him to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest the day it opened, and he loved the sword fights. And I loved Johnny Depp, of course.

For those of you who have been wondering, Marshall is not in karate anymore, after he got his black belt he completely lost interest.

I am so excited that it is less than five months before the Christmas season begins. I love Christmas. We always look forward to the ACS Christmas party, Marshall has so much fun at that. He's going to be 8 years old this Christmas, so I guess he'll be into more big kid things. But I know he'll still like the Christmas party.

The Relay for Life went o.k. this year. We got rained out and had to pack up and leave due to tornado warnings. It was a lot of work cleaning up.

Marshall is going to start the first grade next month, and I think he is excited about it, I can't really tell. I go back to school near the end of August, and the only thing I am excited about is getting my grant money. I need it to live off of. But I'm sure once I get back in the swing of things I will be happy to be back at school. I just can't wait until it is over, I want to work, I want to get a real house.

We told Marshall when we buy a real house we will get a pool. Hopefully we can find something fabulous. This time when we buy a place I am not settling.

So when we saw Dr.Joyce on July 10th they did blood work and other labs. I'm sure they'll all be fine. He has a bruise on his foot that won't heel, so we will see what the results say. I am sure that it is nothing.
