Dear Friends and Families,

Shari Harlan passed away at 5:15AM on July 6, 2005 from complications related to her reoccurring cancer. She passed away peacefully in the care of ORMC Hospital in Orlando, Florida. Information regarding the Memorial Service and Honorary Reception (tentatively planned for Friday, July 8th) and the arrangements for an Honorary Scholarship Fund in Shari’s name will posted here to this guest book. For any questions; please contact Jim Moudy at 321-438-5679 and we will try to get answers for you.

Shari held out until her Birthday (today) and probably got what she wished for. She is the strongest woman ... strike that ... she is the strongest person and the kindest, most generous human anyone ever met. WE ALL LOVE YOU SHARI!!!

Her Last Journal Entry ...

Hi there,

I've been busy this week talking with a lot of different holistic practitioners. This is really a full time job but so worth a positive outcome!!

It's confusing because everyone tells you something a little different. Most everyone agrees on a basic diet that is mainly fresh vegetables. No sodas, artificial sweeteners or processed foods. I should purchase only organics. Praise God I have great access to several organic stores. I know if I was in Flora it would be harder to eat organic - but fresh gardens are a little easier to find there ;-)

It's also scary because some of them are "anti-pharmeceutical" and believe the only way to cure cancer is through holistic pathways.

I have to say - I feel better doing a little of both.

My hair seems to be falling out again. I'm a little sad about it but it is only hair. I did keep my wigs so I'll be set if it all goes. For now it just seems like I have a cat or dog (even when I'm at the office ;-) My oncologist did say that it might thin. Hopefully that is what is happening. I feel like the devil is out there just trying to get me to break. I have news for him -- Jesus and I have this little condition under control.. and he can go bother someone else with less faith and less support. Isn't the power of prayer amazing?

Here's what I picture when I'm having an especially rough day with what the devil throws at me. It always works to bring me right back where I need to be~~and hopefully it will work for you too. Afterall, we are Christian soldiers, aren't we ;-)

Ephesians 6:10-18
***Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.***

You too are loved and protected and have this little outfit in your closet. Get it out and dust it off. Isn't it amazing that nothing can reach you when you have this kind of power!!

Life is good! Make it a great day.
