OUR LIL SUPERHERO FOREVER AARON DEANDRE'E HUNTER 07/10/1998-12/10/2004

IntroMessage,

Aaron DeAndre'e Hunter 7/10/1998-12/10/2004

Welcome to Aaron DeAndre'e Hunter's website. For those of you who don't know Aaron has been through alot this far. He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma stage 4 on September 27, 2002. His tumor was 17 x 21 inches at that time. He left for St. Jude on October 2, 2002 and had 1 dose of chemo there and then was transfered back to St. Francis in Peoria to finish his next five doses of chemo. He did very well with all his chemo and came back to St. Jude on Feburary 9, 2003 to have scans and tests done. They showed his tumor responded very well to the chemo and had shrunk to 4 x 3 inches. He then had surgery to remove the tumor on Feburary 18, 2003. Now he is ready for his transplant which is scheduled for April 28, 2003. Aaron has been our Superhero and has fought a very hard battle this far and he is going to make it through this with the help of all the doctors and grace of God and all the prayers from all our family and friends. Well we made it through the toughest part of this whole thing and we are slowing down on this roller coaster hopefully about to get off soon. Thank you all for visiting this web page and please sign the guestbook anytime.
Well just a new note Aaron has relapsed as of November 7, 2003. It's back in his bone marrow and we are on for the ride of our lives. We know God carried us through the first time and he will see us through this time. The first phase is to get more chemo 8-10 rounds all high dose and then possibly another bone marrow transplant from one of the brothers. Please pray that is possible I will update as often as possible. Please keep all those thoughts and prayers coming and we will be doing the same.
Our LiL Superhero made it this far and we arent giving up yet!!!!

Well we didn't give up without a fight and neither did Aaron. Our LiL Superhero WON his battle on Friday December 10, 2004. He fought a long and hard battle but with the GRACE of GOD he WON the ultimate prize!!!!

Love you all

I know I know!!!! Long time no hear from but WOW have I been quite the busy person lately!!!! And you might just want to sit down and have a big glass of ICE WATER or a big glass of ICED COFFEE handy for this journal entry!!!! YUMMY!!!!

Well lets see back in Janurary I quit the bank. After 9 years of service with them and hours of countless time and effort I walked out!!!! Now I bet your wondering why well for 2 reasons. One they wanted me to sell products to people/customers they didn't need or didn't want and I am very customer oriented but I won't try to sell things to people they don't want or need. I was not hired to sell products I was hired to balance the vault and my drawer and make sure I was pleasant and friendly with the customers and help them in anyway possible. Second I had not missed a day in 2 years and my mom had that massive heart attack and my son had his front teeth broke off at school and I missed 6 hours and was sick 1 day and they wanted to write me up and make sure I didn't get a raise or my annual bonus for working so hard all year. So I walked and told them where to shove it!!! It was very hard trying to find another job but I was kinda picky. I applied EVERYWHERE but also knew what I would take and wouldn't take. Everyone who knows me knows I am very customer driven and love people. I do my best and try not to ever miss work unless I am deathly ill. Well meanwhile I was getting bites for jobs with insurance companies but I knew I NEVER wanted to sell another product to a customer or patient ever again. I have no problem selling myself but as for craming a product down someones throat that isn't me at all. So I went to alot of interviews and never called back alot of people because I knew what I really had in mind. I wanted a full-time job with a doctor's office or hospital. Well I tried to find a job for months from Janurary-March in hopes something AWESOME would come along and just when I was about to give up. I got the call I had been waiting for. Proctor Hospital called and they wanted to interview me for a job working 3rd shift in the ER registering patients. I thought OMG finally my job has come along. I interviewed with 3 people and pretty much knew I had the job in the bag. I knew I would be taking a pay cut but I also knew it would be well worth it to finally be where I wanted to be. Back in the medical field. Well they offered me the job on March 13th and I totally accepted. I started on March 16th. I had orientation for the first week and that was informational but also very boring!!!!! But I got through it and started working 3rd shift the next week. I know you are saying hello Marilyn what were you thinking working 3rd shift???? I was thinking the same thing but I actually LOVE 3rd shift it allows me to do things with the boys for school and sports get sleep and still hang out with them. I only work Monday-Thursday 10 hour nights and it's totally AWESOME!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! I couldn't ask for a better job. I am pretty much my own boss as no bosses work 3rd shift from my department but I still report to big shots but they are cool.

Now on to the most amazing news in a long time. My oldest son LiL Andre'e graduated from 8th grade on the 4th of June. I got a call about 2weeks before he graduated stating I needed to make sure I was at the ceremony which I was already planning on being there anyway. I asked why and was told he was being nominated for some awards and that he wasn't to know about being nominated. My wheels got to turning and I was like wow I just know that means he's getting an award of some kind. So I told my Mom and Brother so they would come but Mom was going out of town and my brother and his wife came. Which by the way I am going to be an AUNT again. My brother and his wife are having a baby boy in October. I am so excited for them as they have been trying for years to get pregnant and FINALLY GOD has blessed them with the baby of their dreams. They are naming him Daaron after Aaron. I am so proud and humbuled by them doing that. I know they loved my baby so much but for them to name a child after my son that died really means alot. Well anyway I went to the graduation and video taped the whole ceremony. I felt all these butterflies in my belly the entire time. At the end they started announcing these awards and the first one he was nominated for was called the Adrian G Hinton Jr award the winner would get a $50.00 savings bond for doing great in school and improvement. But he didn't win that then he was nonimated for the Local Law Enforcement Award and that gave him a Bradley University tudor for next school year, school supplies for next year, a referbished computer, him and a friend get to go to a lock -in at the riverplex a local gym and swimming pool place, and a police medallion. He won that and you talk about PROUD I was screaming like crazy. I was so proud of him. He won that for being a leader not a follower, imporovement in school, good attendence, and being the solution to problems not the problem. Needless to say I am soooo proud of him he has come a very long way and actually he can't wait to go to highschool and college. I am so glad he is finally realizing how important school is and that he won't get anywhere without good grades and being the best he can be and showing it to the WORLD!!!!

Antavious on the other hand now that is a different story. He is actually going to summer school this summer. And I am not real happy about his grades and the way he is just giving up. He thinks if you have good grades and make the honor roll you are a geek. I can't say it enough how much good grades mean and how much further you will get with them. But for some silly reason he has that totally backwards. I just hope and pray he does just as good if not better than Andre'e next year in his 8th grade year. Andre'e didn't really do that great in 7th grade either but he sure gave it his all in 8th grade. So we will see.

Mom/Grandma is doing good. Working still part-time and loving it. She actually has been taking small trips with friends from church to keep herself busy. It has been nice to see her feeling well and happy lately. For a while there she had been very sick.

Well that's about all the news I have for now hope I have caught you all up on the latest news in our lives. Please remember to sign the guestbook even if it's just to say HI!!!! I miss hearing from everyone and hope all is going well with you and yours.

Wishing my LiL Superhero Aaron was still here!!!!
