When I returned mon. morn from the grocery store, Caleb was on the couch and crying, he looked like he had been crying hard for some time. He apparently slipped and fell on the kitchen floor, (rocco's pee). Greg was home at the time, but didn't see him actually fall. I know! I couldn't believe it after all he has been through I kept hoping that he didn't do too much damage. Since Monday was holiday we finally got him into ortho on tues. I had been keeping him satisfied with pain meds. It was hurting right above his ankle and said that his hip was fine, It didn't hurt up top, that was a relief! Turns out he did fracture his bone right above the ankle, hair-line fracture. We were very happy that is all it was, although that will delay being able to use his prosthetic. These fractures can take 3-4 weeks to heal, Caleb is now grounded to his wheelchair only! So prosthetic is on hold. we will see the doc again in one month to make sure it has healed. They also took x-rays of his hip area which showed lots more bone growth but still not quite where we want it.

just another day in the life of the Chapman's!
