Hello to all of you!! I am sorry to hear you had such an unpleasent experience with the Hospice. And as for the nurse... tell her that if you wake up and he is still breathing ... it is a great day, and anticipating on the negative will not keep him here and with all of the wonderful people who love him so much. My hearts pouring out love and thoughts for all of you!! Pie is such a sweet little soul and I feel so blessed to have met all of you, so I guess what I am saying is my very deepest prayers are with you and we all know that these kiddos can really live on love!! Surely you can agree with that. Thanks for the update and give that beautiful special little boy so many butterfly kisses from me... until next time..

I so agree with you that the only hope you have is to keep this precious child alive as long as possible. That is certainly all you have to hold on to. Oh my! I can't believe how insensitive people can be sometimes. I think sometimes people that work in the medical field lose sympathy and compassion because they are always dealing with the terminally ill, so it becomes the norm for them. Sadly it is not "the norm" for parents and family of that person. I'm sorry that you had that experience. Ron and I also chose not to do hospice, I wanted to be home with her and not some nurses, so probably just as well anyway.

Besides all that, I'm glad things are going well otherwise and I hope that Michael continues to do well. Our prayers are always with you guys and thanks for thinking of us on Eden's day.

I'm sorry this is so late. As I write this I am guessing that you now have all your babies back under one roof. I was happy to hear that Michaela's tests all went so well, but we need only look into her precious face to see how well she is doing. And I pray that Michael's seizures have now calmed, poor little sweetie. The pictures of your beautiful grand-babies are just too precious for words. Thank you!!! The pictures of these beautiful little kids are so bittersweet. I just love the captions you put along with the pictures. Hi Michael and family...Michael, what do you think of your little sister with her new glasses? Isn't she so cute. Her beautiful smile just made me laugh. You know something? You are so lucky to have such a special grandmother. She loves your parents so much and she does such a great job of supporting them. we finally got to meet the family after having some discussions on the phone about the time and place for us to meet here in Madawaska. You are a beautiful family and from here on in you can bet not a day goes by that we do think about all of you. Your children are precious and have been adopted by our circle of friends and many others who had an opportunity to see them while they were here in Madawaska for so short a time. Hello from Texas to my new "adopted" family. That is if I filled out the forms correctly! If I did do it right, I should have "adopted" you both, which I certainly hope is the case! I live in Lewisville, TX, which is a little north of Dallas. The weather here has been very cold just like everywhere else, but we were blessed with no precipitation, just cold. Darn it! We very seldom get snow here and I know my kids would love to build a real big snowman.

Julie - I totally understand how you feel about Pie not being able to do the things other kids are doing. My heart aches to see our little Makayla like this too. I am so happy to hear of some weight gain!!! Good Job Pie. I think it is so funny that the littlest things in life for these babies is such a wonderful event. I am sure that Pie is waiting patiently for everyone to come home and stay there. Little sisters are suppose to be a pain to their big brothers, so just adore every minute!!!

Thank you for sharing what's going on with Michael and your family with us. WE are here to share our love and hearts and try and help be supportive. It is good to hear that Michael is still able to get his hand to his mouth, and think that is great fun. You made me smile, thank you! I know what you mean about the choking, I always hated that.

BUt here's something that you may be able to use that could help Michael with cooling off the inside of his mouth. There are swabs for the inside of the mouth, they come in different flavors. They are little sponges on the end of what looks like a lollipop stick. The nurses aide who used to help me with LeA introduced us to them. I think they are called "Toothettes" but I will have to double check, it's been awhile.

You are doing such a great job with all the challenges that are going on in your family right now. It is good that you have online support to help you. I liked what you wrote about the KFN Board and guestbook helping out, it is always good to share I think. Well, I'm off to take my 9 yr old cousin to the state fair today, I imagine we will be happily pooped out when we get home later. Will check in again soon.
