Thanks for taking the time to view Mason's website. Mason was diagnosed with AML leukemia May of 2001. He went through 3 rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. He had been in remission for 15 months. November 29th he developed a sinis infection. A blood test revealed he had relasped. He had 2 more rounds of chemotherapy, full body radiation and another bone marrow transplant. June 28th he relapsed for a second time. August 30th, 2003 he breathed his last, flew right up to heaven to be with Jesus and so many other loved ones. Mason was an incredible boy. Playful and courageous, Mason filled our hearts with love.

Happy 17th Birthday Mason!

Wow, today you would have been 17! Just yesterday I saw a little boy who I KNEW was 6 years old. He didn’t look like you but acted more like you – silly, mischievous and he had
a smile a lot like yours. I was listening to his conversation with his mom. It brought me back to the many conversations you and I had. You were always thinking of questions to ask me. So many of those questions were adult-like questions. I remember the day we had a conversation about your Grandma Ardolf's death and how she died. You were not even sick then and you said "I hope that when I die, I die in my sleep like
Grandma Ardolf did". You were not even 4 years old. I quickly said, "oh, Mason ..... you will not be dying any time soon. You will be around for a long time".

I know if you were still here, you would be planning your future of being an "animal doctor" (as you would say). You loved animals and they LOVED you! Enjoy yet another birthday in heaven my sweet Mason. We will be with you again - CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!
