Hi my name is Nikki Fieseler. On Novemeber 29, 2004, I was diagnosed with High Risk B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia [ALL]. Currently, I'm 20 years old and completed all of my chemotherapy treatments on March 8th, 2007. It's been a long road with plenty of twists and turns along the way, but we've finally made it to the end!

I like to take one day at a time because you never know when life is going to change right in front of your eyes. I say this because my mom, Karen, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on November 26, 2008, almost exactly 4 years after I was diagnosed with cancer. She had a lumpectomy to remove the remaining cancerous cells and will follow with radiation. Please feel free to visit her CaringBridge website as well.

Please keep us both in your prayers as we have found in the past, prayers truly do help! Also, continue to keep checking back for updates and new photos from both of us!

UPDATE:

First off, I was able to have uncle Dave take a look at the laptop over the weekend and he was able to get it fixed for me! Thought that I was going to have to spend a couple hundred bucks to buy a new one, but with a little out of the box thinking, Dave was able to put the hard drive from his broken computer into mine and it's been working like a champ! Unfortunately I lost everything that was on there, but was able to put my MILLION pictures onto an external hard drive about 2 weeks before all this happened. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll keep working as well as it is now!

Today I went back to the clinic because yesterday I had an appointment with Dr. Arndt about the severe pain that I was having Monday night. It was right underneath my rib cage, just above the one scar on my stomach and it shot straight to my back and lasted a good 10-15 min. My chest got really tight so it was hard to breathe and this happened 3 times that night. Luckily I haven't had any of these same pains since then. Today I went in and had an ultra sound done for them to take a closer look at the stomach, gall bladder, kidney's, and pancreous [sp?] to see if there's anything going on with them. I'll be going back to the clinic in the morning to see the GI doctor to get my results and see what they feel is best to do. Dr. Arndt felt that it may be a stomach ulser, maybe a possible gall stone issue, but wasn't really sure so she was sending me off to a department that would know.

Will let everyone know what happens after my appointment!

NIK
