Hello to all!

Yes, Believe it or not I am actually updating Ryan's page! It's been almost a year since I did so. So much going on. Well first of all Ryan is still in remission and just celebrated his cure date and 8th grade graduation. We had a small party here to celebrate! We are very grateful!

Ryan now goes to the oncologists office just once a year, and will do so for life, pretty much. He's been asked to participate in survival studies. They are continually testing the affects chemo had on the body: neurologically, physically etc... for example bone density, cognitive skills...
There is one drug Ryan rec'd which seems to have caused some problems to the heart in some patients even many years after administered, so Ryan will go for an EKG (whatever one is done on the heart) every other year. So far he's been clear.

Ryan will attend high school in September. There is a brand new school opening here in our area called Pope John Paul II, High School 'PJP2' for short. He is VERY excited to start. Almost all of his 8th grade class is going there as well, so the friends he has made over the past year since we moved here won't be far away.

We just came back from a trip to Orlando. The last time we were there was when Ryan had his make-a-wish in Feb 2003! We stopped by Give Kids the World where we stayed when we were down there. Some nice improvements, but basically the place looks exactly the same. One of the nights when we were there in '03 Ryan put his name on a small gold star as 750,000 other children have done when they stayed there. Well, we were actually able to find his star! An amazing place.

Brendan is hanging in there as well. He'll start 5th grade this fall.

John did his Tahoe Century Ride for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society again this June, raising lots of money as well.

Well, let's hope it's not another year before I update!

We love you all!
God Bless Our Troops!
