Benjamin's Trip to Recovery

In August of 1999 Benjamin was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. He is now in remission and off chemo!

Two more weeks and I head to San Francisco!

Jeff pulled a surprise for all of us and he has made arrangements to fly Ben and my mother-in-law, Shirlene, to California to be at the finish line when I complete the marathon. Great surprise! It will be wonderful motivation.

The most miles that I have walked is 20 now and I think that I am somewhat prepared for the day of the marathon. I upped my goal from hoping to raise $3500 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to dreaming of raising $5000. As of today I have raised $6500. The generosity of friends, family, and total strangers continues to amaze us.

Two more weeks and counting!
