The Catie Hoch Foundation The Catie Hoch Foundation has been created for two reasons. The first is to help the medical community research and hopefully find a cure for neuroblastoma. This devastating disease is a rare and aggressive pediatric cancer. The second is to allow families to enjoy the good days during treatment. We feel that the child's state of mind is very important during treatment - and doing fun things can help! Some of Catie's favorite places are FAO Schwarz, the Museum of Natural History and the Little Shop of Plaster!
If you wish to make a tax deductible contribution, please make a check out to the Catie Hoch Foundation, c/o Larry Hoch, 27 Southwood Drive, Ballston Lake, NY 12019.
Thank you for your support. Any contribution of any size would be greatly appreciated. With each donation we are paving the way to a cure!

Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 01:38 PM (CST) Dear Friends,
I want to thank all of you who give support and comfort to our family and to all who continue to support the Catie Hoch Foundation.
This will be the last time that I will post on this web site. Our new and "official" site is www.catiehochfoundation.org, so please bookmark the new site and visit us there.
It has been a wonderful year for the Foundation. The third annual Catiebug for a Cure was a tremendous success, with over 400 people participating. We raised over $17,000. We held the Fall Family Festival at Clifton Park Center and had a great time. We also had a luncheon at the Outback Restaurant in Clifton Park. They generously donated EVERYTHING - food, beverage and the servers even donated their tips! We raised over $4,500.
Love, Gina
Now for the BIG news. JK Rowling - the Harry Potter author - has donated $100,000 to the Catie Hoch Foundation. Jo (JK) used to e-mail Catie and send her presents. She even called our home to read to Catie from the yet-unpublished Book 4. I must have written her a note telling her about the Foundation, and a few weeks ago we received a $100,000 donation from her. Catie continues to work her magic.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I look forward to seeing you at www.catiehochfoundation.org
