Greg has been tumor free since surgery in April 2002. He completed all therapy in May of 2003. Greg is now 22 years old and in his senior year at the University of Miami, in Coral Gables Fla.

Wednesday, January 5, 2011 11:15 AM CST I know: Long time since I've updated! But in this case, no news is good news. Greg continues to be fine and tumor free. In fact, Dr Stein finally decided on a YEARLY basis for scans! Wow, never thought we'd get there. Right now, her biggest concern is the cummulative amount of radiation exposure that Greg has been exposed to, not the recurrance of cancer. Greg will be taking his MCATS in April, and is polishing up his resume for med school applications. He has been doing research in a biology lab at school this year, and apparently likes it. Don't ask me what they're doing though-I haven't a clue.........
Matt (My Baby!) will be 19 in a few weeks. Where does the time go? He's in "academic shock" in his freshman year at Vanderbilt University, but loves it. Yes Matt, when you get to college, you actually have to study! Imagine that. He's doing fine, just beginning to realize that college has different expectations than high school.
I'm still teaching. I just love working with my adult nursing students. To my absolute joy, 2 students came to me at the end of last semester to tell me that because of my influence, they're going to be ONCOLOGY NURSES! How cool is that!?
