Our Angel James

Robert James Bowman was born June 5th 1986....a healthy beautiful baby...and such a loving child always happy and full of energy! James is the oldest of our four grandchildren. In the short 14 and a half years of his life he brought so much joy into our lives. Like his father he never met a stranger, even though he was on the shy side. James was so full of life and loved living it. When he was diagnosed with t-cell high risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia 12/15/98 (the day before his dad's birthday) he was determined not to let this disease win.

James had Bone Marrow relapse 3/17/00 then again 6/00...he was to receive his brothers bone marrow but never reached remission again. He fought two hard years with such force and determination...but lost the battle 12/19/00.
It robbed him of his childhood....and then took his life.

He will always be our "Hero and Warrior of Life"

Loved and sadly missed by family and many friends.

PLEASE!!! sign James's guestbook while you are here,we love reading messages from everyone!

Hello everyone! I am doing much better since they put me on steroid to tae the swelling down.I am going to have to have the tumor removed around April 26th.They were going to just biopsy it but the neuo wants to get it out,no since in taking a biopsy when he can get it out. It's on the left side of my brain going down around my ear. It's on the outer side not it the brain as yet.So he says it will take 1 hour and a half to removed it.I can't hardly write here and don't make since that's the part of my brain that has been effective (can't even spell even with spell check.

Now for my baby boy James and yet another Easter coming up without him.Rick took me to the cemetery today and all how he is missed.I will join him one day but want to stay around for my other grandkids. My Kaily 13 now loves me sooo very much it would just kill her to let me go.Bryan is now 15 and loves to me no end too.But I talk with them both and I could tell Kaily will be more upset. Bella my daughter little girl is to youngto under dead...etc but I hope to fight and be able to see her grow some one too.I am not the grandma I was for the other ones to sick all the time.I was dx NHL 4/02 and she was born 8/6/02 so pretty much I was okay until the aggressive came on me and the chemo began.

I just know my kids have had their share of problems in their lives.God bless them too.KIM my daughter in law has been great!!!!!!!!She goes to all my doctor with us and takes notes and ask questions. She is one of my rocks now.I love her and know this has to be hard on her since she went two years with nursing Jamie and then he dead. She has never been the same but picks up and doing all the stuff to give her other two a good life.

Happy Easter! Blessings,Grandma Bonnie
