Libbie Lorraine Nichols

Welcome to Libbie's web page. We're glad you're here! This is the place to get updated on Libbie's cord transplant progress. Libbie was diagnosed with JMML in February 1999 when she was 6 months old. She has gone through the last 3 years in a "chronic" phase until recently. Her bone marrow has become very fibrous so it is best she go to transplant now. July 2, 2002 she received a 5.5/6 cord blood transplant at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

MY DAUGHTER LIBBIE

My daughter Libbie...

Could swing a bat and hit a ball better than any 6 year old boy....when she was 3...

She could eat a whole can of Spaghetti-O’s...

She’d rather wear jeans and a t-shirt than anything....just don’t forget the bows...

If you asked her who made her strong, she would tell you it was God...

My daughter Libbie...

Loved school...her teachers, her work and her friends...but was sure to take her lunch each day to avoid the cafeteria food...

She’s been known to sleep with a hockey stick, a tied-up barbie doll, a plastic spoon, a toothbrush, a flashlight, a good book and a steering wheel...

She’s led countless to be better by her example of courage, strength, faith and love...

My daughter Libbie’s hero is her Daddy...

My daughter Libbie is mine...

My daughter Libbie..

Told me she loved me a hundred times a day...

She was a prolific writer and artist...if it didn’t move it probably had Libbie’s mark....or it got tied up...

She could melt you with her baby blue eyes...

She saved my eternal life...

My daughter Libbie’s...

Best friend and confidant was her Grandma Diane...

She always made sure that when she got a treat at the doctors office she was given an extra one for her sweet Buster.

Libbie never broke a promise...

And she kissed her Daddy a million times...

...she was the epitome of Love, Courage, Faith and Strength and held fast to each of them through every thing her young body was put through. She has taught more people about grace and compassion than you can ever imagine and to me there is no greater honor on this earth than to say she was....My daughter Libbie...
