Dear Friends and Family,

As you may or not not have heard, my condition has taken a turn for the worse. My current condition leaves me with very little time to spend with friends and family.

After my symptoms -loss of balance and vision - increased last week, we decided to go to Duke a week early. We just returned this past Friday. We learned from the Doctors that the cancer has progressed even further than we had anticipated. The Doctors did the best they could to come up with a way to help, but because the tumor has spread so much, we have run out of options. It is feared that any treatment such as radiation or chemotherapy would actually make my condition worse. Despite this fact, I am not giving up hope and we will be pursuing some possible alternative therapies. At the same time, I will be getting hospice care at home.

Amy and I would like to thank everyone for all of their love and assistance. We would love to hear from you as well as read your emails posted on this website. We can't wait to see many of you May 21st. Thank you so much for supporting us in our fight against brain cancer.
