Just a few months after Alexi was born in 1998, she was diagnosed with a rare disease called Histiocytosis (LCH). After nearly 7 years of low-dose chemo and lots of hugs and kisses, Alexi enjoys a normal life. Her port was removed (2007) and no longer is on chemo!

Boo! It's Halloween! For us, we do some traditional types of Halloween stuff, but this year, because I'm back at work, we had to juggle things around a little. Alexi gets to dress up in school, and she originally wanted to be a pirate just like her Mom. But as soon as she jumped out of bed this a.m., she said, "Nope, I wanna be a princess." Now, how could I say no to that? Grins.

Tori, who is growing up a little too fast for me, is just happy to be with me or if she can visit her friends, that will make her happy. It's a Friday, so we'll have to see how things happen. Alexi is going trick-or-treating with her best friend Katie, and Tori and I will just go to the shopping complex and see if anyone is handing out any goodies there. Plus, we love to look at sales! Ha ha.

On the healthfront ... Alexi is doing really well. I'm waiting for my new health insurance to kick in so that she can visit her Hemonc docs in November. She had xray scans about 3 months ago and they were clear.

I'm still thinking about the Histio Heroes 5K race, which was back in September. If you want to check out the photos, you can visit www.histioheroes.com. I must have taken just under 700 images! LOL But unfortunately, Alexi and Tori were not there with me as they spent the weekend with their dad.

Holidays are coming up. Time to spend with family and friends. And we are so grateful for the new friends we have met and send out hugs and kisses to our forever friends.
