Hello, everyone! It was a dismal, dreary day here in NY. I am sick with my fourth sinus infection since I returned to work in September. This one really hit me hard. Friday I woke up with NO voice. It's not fun teaching without a voice, but I managed. Today, I rested all day. I stayed in my jammies, did three loads of laundry (I still never get tired of those awesome cherry red machines that Cousins Sheila and Barbara graciously bought us). Tom and Lexi had a daddy/daughter day all day leaving me to rest. They started with the usual-breakfast at Friendly's with their favorite waitress, Cathy and the very special Ann. They caught a 1:45 movie-Madagascar 2 and then headed over to Dave and Buster's for some video games & lunch. Lexi lost her pocket book, so daddy took her to the store to find another one, but this handbag was turquoise, pink and silver sequins (very unique!). They settled on another Hannah Montana bag (that makes 5, I believe) to take its place. Then, they made a quick stop at Toys R Us before they headed back home. They watched some of their favorite episodes of the best of SNL with Will Ferrel. That's how the video below was inspired. This is 'typical' crazy behavior in the Moore home on a rainy Saturday. Check out Lexi and daddy's version of 'The Perfect Cheer!' Just wanted to let you know we are all okay & as always we appreciate your love, prayers and support. Alexa's next set of scans will be on January second. She finished her chemo on the third, so it will be almost a year to the day that we finished and Alexa proclaimed to all that her Cancer was 'FIRED'! It's never too early to ask for prayers. We also would like to ask you guys to pray for our good friends-The Benoits. Madisyn, once again, is fighting this beast. She has never stopped and has the heart of a champion. She WILL beat this! Mommy and daddy can use some encouragement if you could leave them some messages of support-we'd appreciate it. I also just wanted to give thanks to my dear friend, Provi, for taking up a collection at her school for Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. The generous donation from Provi and her building will go to Harrison's Foundation supporting families fighting Neuroblastoma (the same disease Madisyn is fighting). The other half of the donation will go to The Aubrey Fund at MSKCC in Harrison's honor. Gina, our friend and Harrison's amazing mommy ran the NYC Marathon in his honor just two weeks ago. I know how much she and ^Harrison^ appreciate your GENEROUS donation. I took Nyquill and my eyes are closing as I type this. Thanks for checking in on Alexa and for praying for us and all of our friends. Love from 'our team' to yours always-Debb, Tom and Alexa Renee "The Perfect Cheer!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iezOsnhufsk
