Alexandra Grace Minvielle was born May 7, 2006 to Chad and Melissa "Missy" Minvielle. She was diagnosed at 20 weeks gestation with Spina Bifida through a routine ultrasound. She has endured four major surgeries and constantly shows us that she is a strong little girl and continues to thrive.

Alex is great! She has recovered beautifully and she is almost back to her little ole' self. She is still a little bit weak when pushing herself in her wheelchair but otherwise she is awesome! Her back looks beautiful too! I brought her Sunday to a birthday party at Cabela's and she loved it! We almost didn't go because I didn't think she would be up to it, but when she woke up from her nap she said...I go see animals...I go to the zoo!!! So..off we went and she had the best time ever! She thinks the "stuffed" animals at Cabela's is the zoo! ( so funny ) She even sat at the table with all the kids and ate cookie cake! By the end of the party she had really warmed up to everyone and she put on a little "show"! Of coure everyone that didn't know Alex fell in love with her and she loved the attention! She acts shy when she first meets people but when she warms up you really get to see her personality and she isn't shy at all, very outgoing! She is very happy too and loves to sing with the radio in the car, it is so sweet to hear when you are driving her around. She loves music and she moves to the beat. Missy said she is scooting around again, but she never hit the ground with us to find out. We were too busy! Well I just wanted to update and let everyone know Prissy is great and the new baby is great too. Prissy will be a big sister on November 4th! You can ask her if she wants a brother or sister, girl or boy and she says girl for a while, then boy..brother/sister..i don't think she really understands what she is getting! It will be interesting to see how she will respond to a tiny little baby. I think she will be a great big sister. (maybe a little bossy at times, but otherwise good!) Well, all is good and anything new Ill update.
