What a week. We had soo much fun on the Make-a-Wish trip. It all started with a night at the Water Park of America and Hotel. This water park is fun for all ages. Then we were brought to the airport by limo. We were given the V.I.P. treatment as a M-a-W volunteer met us at the airport to assist us in making our way to our gate. We were met by more M-a-W volunteers when we arrived at the Orlando Airport. These volunteers were so much help to us as we would have struggled with all of the luggage AND the kids without their help. We stayed at the Give Kids the World Village in Kissimmee FL, which is just a 10 to 20 minute drive from all of the amusement parks. This village is just for kids that are coming to the area for their M-a-W trip. They had a rental van already for us when we got their. I would encourage you to check out the Give Kids the World Village Website to see all of the exciting things that they offer families such as us while we are staying there. There is just too much to write about. A few of our favorites were the wonderful volunteers, the carousel and the unlimited supply of ice cream that was offered all day, everyday. This village relies solely on donations. We paced ourselves with the amusement parks including Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom and Gator Land. We made two attempts at visiting Sea World. The first attempt was spoiled by an astonishing display of God’s power through a massive rainstorm. We got very, very wet before we even made it to the ticket booth. We never made it in, because the storm did not slow down. The week flew by. We had tons of fun and accumulated literally hundreds of pictures. You can see many of the pictures at www.hennenfamily.swebby.com. Chelsie is scheduled for scans in the coming weeks and your continued prayers are much appreciated. God has displayed His power in our family. We are truly blessed and being transformed daily by His loving hands.
