I was admitted to the Royal Free Hospital on 25th January 2006 to have a full BMT and have set up this page to let people know how my treatment is progressing and to save my mother repeating the same story a million times.

I was diagosed with CML in July 2004 and was then lucky enough to be diagnosed with MS in August 2005. I am having a BMT in order to cure both diseases.

Day 295 - Hello again. I had another clinic appointment yesterday and will bore with some more numbers:

WBC 4.6 Neut 3.5 HGB 13.8 Platelets 176

BCR-ABL (AKA Leukaemia) UNDETECTABLE

My blood also carries Ben's DNA so we can frame each other for all kinds of nasty crimes.

These are all in the normal range and they are going to see me again in 6 weeks time. I saw Dr Ron Chakrabati this time. He is very nice and Eva thinks he looks a bit like George Clooney but you can make your own mind up as he is in one of the photos. Anyway, the only things I had to mention were that I get very sleepy in the evenings and am ravenously hungry most of the time. He laughed and said, "so you are complaining about sleeping well and having a healthy appetite". It's true and I am running out of things to complain about.

I am back working now 2 or 3 days a week. The commuting seems worse than it used to be. I think it will take a bit of getting used to. I am looking forward to Christmas and spending a few days up north in Derbyshire.

Thanks for your messages and continued support. Hope to catch up with Helen and Stephen one night in Wirksworth.

Love David
