I finally get a chnace to update for everyone. My computer still won't let me do it, it is such a pain. Anyways, my dad is recovering slow, but well. After he came home the following Thursday he had to go to the emergency room on Saturday because his drain fell out. They placed another one in and sent him home Monday. He is hoping to get everything out, including the staples on Tuesday. My mom has a disease in her back involving two of her disks. She is getting a shot in her back and we are all hoping that it works so she doesn't have to have back surgery. It is such a long, painful recovery. We went to the White Sox game two weeks ago, but we left in the middle of it because people can be so rude. We had people walking in front of us the whole time and we got tired of the crowds. We are settling in very well to our new house. Allen has been doing a lot of yard work and he even got the lawn mower to work. Noone thought it would work because it sat in my parent's shed for two years. Jason started school on Thursday. He already got in trouble for talking, but he loves his teacher and has made many new friends. Jason and our neighbor have become better friends since school started. They are in the same class. Today they played from 9 in the morning until we left at 3. We love living in a neighborhood where we don't have to be afraid all the time and we can give Jason a lot of freedom. The kids next door have lived there their whole lives and they kinda lead Jason around. He is buying his lunch at school. It turned out to be cheaper by letting him buy his lunch and then he gets a variety of food. The first day was pretty confusing for him. I am actually working at his school as a lunch monitor so at least I could help him through it. Now he is an old pro at it. It works out that I am working at his school because I have the same schedule as him, actually less, and when he is off so am I. We came over to my parents house so Allen could help move a desk. We had dinner and it was really nice to visit with them. Last Monday was Allen's and my 7th anniversary. So much has happened in the past seven years and it feels like it just flew by. I wanted to give a big congradulations to Desiree and Carl on their new baby girl Avery. She was born on August 19, six and a half weeks early. She went home after about ten days in the NICU and is doing great at home. I am hoping that we can figure out why we can't update soon so I don't have to wait until we go to my parents house to update. It keeps telling me that I don't have access, which I know isn't true. I ahve tried everything that caringbridge has told me to do, but it is just not working. If anyone has any ideas or has had this happen to them please give me some advise.
