Payton took 6 steps by himself today during his occupational therapy. Yesterday he took 4 steps during physical therapy. It looks like he will be walking soon! We go back to MUSC next Thursday, October 16 to get the official results from the sleep study. Since we know that he is having central apnea with the trach closed and open, I am anxious to hear what the plan is going to be for him. I have a feeling that she is going to send us to a sleep specialist. Prayer Requests: 1. Pray for Payton's heart to remain strong. 2. Pray that Payton will continue to regain his strength since his spine surgery in May. We would love to see him walking soon! 3. Pray that God will heal Payton from the central sleep apnea. Also that He continues to heal his vocal cords, airway and lungs so that we can get his trach decannulated. 4. Pray for God to give Payton the desire to eat. We would love for him to start eating by mouth! 5. Pray for Payton to remain healthy during the upcoming RSV/Flu season.
