Well I can't believe that it is already 2009. We had a great Christmas, well as good as we could have had without Ryan. We started driving to Nonna's house and ran into Freezing Rain and icy roads. It took about 2 hours longer to get there than it normally does but we made it safe. I called mom as we pulled in and told her that the weather was bad and that there were reports of icy roads and freezing rain and that we would not be able to make the drive the next day. See, we came in a day early and let her know that we were not going to be driving on Christmas Eve due to the weather. I could see her reaction and when she asked me why I opened her front door and came on it. It was pretty funny. We got to see some of my cousins, Amber and Heather, that Andrea has never met. It has been about 20 years since I saw Heather and a few since Amber. We had a lot of fun seeing them. We made our way to Searcy to Granny Becks house and had Christmas down there. We spent New Years Eve with Mames and her family. We banged Pots and Pans to bring in the new year. Last year, we were all there and you should have seen Ryan banging away. I think Ashtyn banged a little harder for him also. We went to see the Ryan headstone that has been placed. I put a new picture on so everyone can see it. The little Angel is from Nonna for her little Angel. It is solar powered and serves as a night light with a little glow. We felt that the Lightning McQueen on it would be fitting. If you are in NW Arkansas, look for a free Magazine called Peek-a-boo. The January edition has a story about Ryan. It also has a little picture showing him with his 7 year old birthday cake. By the time we check this on Wednesday, we will be over 110,000 visits. It is hard to imagine that there would be that many people checking in on us. I know Ryans story continues to touch people's lives and help some people with what they are going through. If you happen to be lucky numbver 110,000, please sign in and let us know. All of our travel is done for a while and God has seen us through all and kept us safe. Spring is just around the corner and the Butterflies will be back to see us. God Bless you all, more updates later. Dad
