Wow,
What a fabulous update. Thank you for sharing your last few years with us. Jeremy is such an inspiration as you all are!! The Disney Trip looks great. We too are considering making a wish for Alyssa to go to Disney. Ryan received a hot tub for his wish!! They are wonderful!!We think of you often and can't believe we met almost six years ago down at Duke. I remember Jeremy only as a little baby with a huge smile on his face!! It is so nice to see his pictures, as handsome as ever!!!! Thank you again for updating!! God Bless

Thank you for journaling Jeremy's history. Our newborn son Samuel may have Krabbe's Disease. I'd heard of it a couple years ago from a pamphlet. I wonder if the the Lord was preparing us. They are awaiting metabolic tests now. Samuel has muscle spasms that don't seem to be seizures. His EEG's showed he is a couple weeks behind in development. There are other factors such as elevated spinal fluid protein levels too. I first read of the cord blood stem cell transplants last night. I appreciated the hope and the additional hope and encouragment from your family's experience. Thank you. I don't want to wait 3-4 weeks for the test results if someone can more quickly identify the disease. You said Jeremy's diagnosis took 8 days? From where? I don't want to lose valuable time or our son. Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

A PRAYER FOR CHRISTMAS

God Give Us eyes this Christmas
To see the Christmas Star.
And give us ears to hear the song
of angels from afar

And, with our eyes and ears attuned
for a message from above,
Let "Christmas Angels" speak to us
of hope and faith and love

Hope to light our pathway
When the way ahead is dark,
Hope to sing through stormy days,
with the sweetness of the lark

Faith to trust in things unseen
and know beyond all seeing
That it is in our Fathers love
We live and have our being

And love to break down barriers
of color, race and creed,
Love to see and understand
and help all those in need.

Lord, bless those we love this Christmas Day,be they near or far away Bless those good friends who mean so much and those with whom we're out of touch. We bring them all to You in prayer, and ask You to keep them in Your care.

Please know that you are thought of, in a very special way, not just this beautiful season but every day.

Congratulations Jeremy! Wow - 4 years. Our son Erik celebrated his 10 year CBT anniversary last summer and he will turn 13 in a couple of weeks. He is in the HH picture with you. He is the little boy standing behind Dalton in the middle of the picture. He also has tight hamstrings and walks on his toes - no big deal. The docs and PT's think once he stops growing that will straighten itself out. Botox every few months and AFO's for now. Have a happy Christmas.

Hi, glad to hear he's doing so well. You have had a rough time. He looks great, and sounds like he's getting around well. Your average toddler, remember I had 3 boys, I know what your going to be doing in years to come. But I wouldn't trade any of them. Keep up your faith, your mother had a lot of pride in you. I don't know if you will remember me but Adam will I am Jackie's grandmother, I can't begin to tell you how very sorry that I am for the death of your son Alex and than to go through the same illness with Jeremy, I know what it is like to loose a child and nothing can take that pain from you, but with many prayers and a good support system we manage. I know this probably doesn't help nothing ever does but there will be days as you know that we don't cry as often. I guess the best advise I can give anyone is to put all your faith in God sometimes thats hard to do but he will always be there for you when others aren't he will be. I will continue to pray for all of you. God bless all of you.

Jeremy, My heart is all a flutter to know how fantastic it is to reach your third birthday. You amaze me with all of those miracles you perform each day and that most people take for granted!! I know how special this day is because you are also two years out of transplant which is huge. I bet you will be going to preschool real soon and then you will be learning so much more and having fun with all the kids. I am so proud of you and hope to see you in a few weeks as you pass through out little piece of heaven here in Kentucky.

Hey Jeremy, how are you doing? I hope you all are enjoying your summer!!! Did I ever tell you we found some bunnies in our backyard recently. Actually, our dog did - the kids were in the pool and she was barking like crazy under the pool deck. Finally when we checked there was a bunny nest with a baby bunny in it. Then after more looking through it we found 2 more. So since I have 3 kids and there was 3 bunnies, they each named one. We left lettuce and water and carrots out there but it was never touched so we dont think the mom came back. About 2 days later we took them in to feed them and we had them a week, feeding them kitten milk from a kitten bottle or dropper. They were SO cute! They called them Jean, Robin and Nibbles. My son Gooch called his Jean, named after Jean Smart in XMen. They opened their eyes while we had them and by the end of the week we had them they were running all over, more running than hopping. My husband was convinced they were going to grow up and bite our fingers off, so we turned them over to a Childrens Museum that is a wildlife rehab center near us. I hope they are being taken care of, if they werent already released. I know the kids loved them and they really were cute!! That was our thrill for the summer – hope you are enjoying yours!

Hi there Lovely Thoms family!

Sorry it has taken us so long to come by for a visit to see Jeremy's adorable little face. Happy belated birthday wishes to Alex in Heaven. It sounds like your lives continue to be filled with so many blessings. Frank & I would love to hear Adam play some day. My young cousin and their band "Crowned King" just signed their 1st record deal and it should be coming out soon. Frank & I love music. We can't play worth a darn but we sure love to listen to all types. Hopefully next year Adam will be at the sympsosium and can fill the room and our souls with his music - that would be truly inspirational!!

Tanys, we pray that you will find a job that fits perfectly with who you are. You and Randy are just so loving, hearts of Gold. We'll send lots of positive energy.

Jeremy, we sure miss your smiling face :)

Much LOVE to you and your boys,

Fabulous news about Jeremy!!! I can't believe he is eating so well now. We are still waiting to hear when Gina's surgery will be. I hope it is soon. I am getting a little frustrated because her eating could be better!!!!!!
It was good to hear your update and will continue to keep all of your family in our prayers..............I know how you feel about Alex's 16th birthday. That was a tough day for me, too. Sixteen is a big milestone with these kiddos. I must say, though, this last year I keep seeing license plates on different vehicles with Nick's birthdate on them: 516. I think he is zipping around in heaven driving all the kids around and wants me to know that he is fine. I hope that Nick doesn't teach Alex any bad driving habits!! Hugs and love,

Jeremy,

Yup, just like the old man! I should know, I knew him when he was . . . less old. Ask him what a Lowrider is. He'll roll his eyes, then tell him you mean the car. It sounds like you would have loved his old yellow Chevy.

Thoms family, Thank you for the Christmas card, and this website. I feel like a bit of a snoop, having read all of the journals from the beginning. But you both do such a good job at telling the tale of Jeremy and the whole Thoms clan.

We were so blessed to have met you at the HH symposium. We took one look at your beautiful little boy Jeremy and we truly believed with our own eyes that miracles really do come true. You have a very special family and we look forward to getting to know you even better next year. What an incredible experience to see all of the beautiful faces of our precious children all together in one loving family.

Goood news on the surgery outcome. IT will be fun for you all to play in the water this summer. Thanks for the nice update, we ALWAYS love hearing about Jeremy! WE will say prayers for the kids you mentioned as well as the new family you gave the Duke info to!

We really really hope that you can come to the symposium this summer, you would really really love it. Do you think that there is anyway that you could all attend, we would so love to see you there and I know you would just love being with everyone in the fabulous resort. Sharing time with families, learning new information for Krabbe researchers, getting an update for Dr. K and letting Jeremy strut his walking. Oh, I am praying very hard that you all will be able to come. I really hope you logisitics work out. IF you have any questions about anything transportation or event related feel free to contact me, I really really want you guys to come.

Love to you all,

I am so thrilled that Adam is going on this big adventure with you and that you are taking the plunge and going through DC for him. We have to do a balancing act with these kids to make sure they benefit when their brothers or sisters are taking up so much of their parents energy! I am really worried about Randy and the job? Tanys,

So glad to hear things perked back up for Jeremy!!!!!!! He is one strong fightin' little cowboy. Good to hear that he wasn't gonna let some buckin' bronco of a virus knock him down for long. BIG WEEK, just like you said. I hope you all are catching up on some rest.

This scary episode brings a couple of questions to my mind? Do you stay in close contact with Dr. Kurtzberg, Jeremy's transplant doctor, even though you are seeing Dr. PEters up in MN? And why do they take out the central line when there is such a chance of needing access for future draws, etc? Maybe you could let me know if you get a chance, I know you are super busy, so I totally understand if you don't get the chance.

I can clarify for you how the interview happened. Hunter's Hope sent out news releases to the tv stations in the local cities where Krabbes transplant children live. Then your tv station talked to Hunter's Hope and received your contact information so they could call you and do Jeremy's interview. We are all most interested to see the interview.

Got to go, I am babysitting for my little 2 yr-old friend, Anna this am for a few hours. Must get dressed and put on my running shoes to keep up with her.

Lots and lots of continued prayers and love,
(((((((((((GREAT BIG HUGS))))))))))))

Such great news from Eau Claire! We sure did talk about how well Jeremy is doing at the Hunter's Hope Medical Symposium. We can't wait until you are there with us and Jeremy is playing with all the kids! It was so wonderful for us to see Laura and Dalton and Joseph. Jeremy looks absolutely terrific in his photo! So big and growing quickly. What a little miracle he is! Can't wait until we hear about his weight and check up with Dr. Peters! Let me know! Take care and enjoy your life, I know that every day it gets a little easier and easier. Much love to you and all your boys!

Thanks for writing and keeping us updated our Jeremy's progress. It sounds like everything is going well for you all. We are keeping you all in our prayers. Sorry it's been awhile since I've written or called you. You know how the summers are for us--very busy! I am so very happy to hear of Jeremy's progress! He is such a cutie-pie too!!!! When Laura hit about 9 months post transplant - things seemed to kick in for her too. She started gaining strength and started "talking" more too. I am following your journey with understanding and joy and such hope for Jeremy's future - I do hope we can meet and have the little ones (Laura, Gina, and Jeremy) do a photo shoot!!!! I don't think I could possibly take enough pictures! God bless your family and give you strength for each new day. -Carol Cross

Hi to everyone,

You are so cute to say, excuses, excuses! WE are the lucky ones, lucky that you find the time when you have some available to write a journal update sharing the ongoing miracle of Jeremy's life!!!!! I loved the article you posted in the photo section! Thank you ever so much for sharing that with us here! I was already awash in tears of joy reading through your journal entry, but then when I read the newspaper article, an even more powerful swoosh of emotion swept through me, it was as if my soul opened right up and all the faith I have burst out. I can just feel how right everything is going for Jeremy. I am so happy for your family that you are all receiving this wonderful gift of Jeremy's great progress in life. 13.10 lbs, is he on the super grow diet? Good boy!! Sitting up, with two teeth, WOW! Sounds like in a couple of weeks he'll be rolling all around the house, can't wait to hear.

Keep up the good work! You're all doing great! We will keep your family in our prayers, everything will come together I just know it will.

Much LUV and best wishes

Safely home! What wonderful news to read of your l o n g-awaited return home. Thank you for taking the time, to share with all of us who check in on Jeremy's site regularly, to let us know about your first couple of days back. Sounds like it must feel good! I just read Anne and Carol's messages, they have stood in the same shoes you are now wearing, and their messages sound so encouraging. I hope that provides you with some additional post-transplant happy hopefulness. Well, please give little Jeremy a BIG kiss and hug from his friend, Micki. Looking forward to returning often to check in. Glad to hear about Jeremy and his "happy normal self" and I will say many prayers for lots and lots of Happy Naps. The day finally has come! You are united as a family again. What a wonderful reunion it must have been for all of you. I can feel the tingles as I rejoice in your bonding once again. The next phase of transplant life will be different. There will be more adjustments to make and a little different change of pace in your lifestyle. It will become routine and normal to you. Little by little the medical supplies will disappear and then one day there will be none.
I am so happy for your family and I am hopeful that all will continue to go well with Jeremy. Please keep us updated as we will all be anxious to hear about his progress.

Tanys and Randy, The diagnosis of Krabbes is very, very difficult, as you know too well. It seems incredibly unfair that after all the bad news and the myriad inconvenient situations surrounding health building post transplant, you still need to deal with the financial issues as well. Remember though, that this is just one short time of your life, and that as hard as it is now it *WILL* get better. Your priorities are in order, you are pioneering, and it's not easy doing this just as it is not easy for any pioneer. But it is possible.
If you ever just need to talk, send an email. We know how you feel, and now, 2 1/2 years post transplant, it is easier, and definitely was worth it. Take care, you are fantastic parents.

I loved your last message, that is what I did and continue to do is find all the positive things that God put into my life because of Krabbes and having David. David may be gone but I still continue to see how God has used my experience with the disease and David. Jeremy is lucky to have such wonderful caring parents. Jeremy is a strong little boy, he too soon will be feeling better and acting just like a baby without krabbes. God Bless you all, if Tanys needs anything let us know.

We are all battling insurance woes. Our company refused to pay for the training necessary for the take home pumps as well as the anesthesia used in Austin's latest spinal tap. Neither my husband nor myself have worked since we came here at the end of November.

But each day I open my eyes in room 5201 and am thankful that Austin's eyes open too. And then, nothing else seems as important.

Dear Tanys, I just read Anne's message and want to encourage you also that you will make it through all this and come out a stronger person. I was with Anne and Gina their first week in their apt. and it was all so overwhelming. I was amazed at the degree of responsibility placed on the Mothers of transplant babies after their discharge. You just have to take it one hour at a time and focus on the most important things. Trust and believe that everything falls into place with God's plan even through the worst of it all. I know my life has been changed for the better by my personal experiences with Gina and her family. On a return trip to the apt. before Anne and Gina finally went home to Kentucky, Anne was so anxious to go home and the waiting was unbearable. Now that it has been one year since Gina's transplant it is much clearer to look back at the miracle of her life and see all the ways that one precious child has touched and changed the lives of so many. I pray that when you need comfort and encouragement that you will remember everyone's words and trust and believe. Miracles happen and Jeremy is another of God's miracle Krabbe babies.

Dear Randy,
Okay, now listen, there is so much to be thankful for and you hit the nail on the head. Your main focus needs to be on Adam, Jeremy, Tanys and yourself, everything else will fall into place. Call Dr. Kurtzberg at Duke and she can have someone handle most of the insurance issues. As far as getting docs set up, Dr. Kurtzberg can handle that as well. You need to dump some of this back into their laps, they are more than willing to help if they are aware that there are struggles. You must take one day at a time and look for the positives of each day. I know how hard it is without Tanys, but before you know it she and Jeremy will be home and your family will be complete again. Trust me, in just a few short months you will forget about a lot of the problems. Gina is on her way back to Duke again for her one year studies. Can you believe it was already three months ago that we met! Time has flown by and you will be saying these same words very soon. I really think that your job's changes are preparing you for something different and better. I think, too, spring will soon be here and you will be finishing off some of those projects. We have no control, God has all the control. Let him help you.
Please take care of yourself and please, keep updating the journal. It is wonderful to hear from you and you will be happy that you made journal entries. There are a bunch of Krabbe families that want to follow the site and check up on Jeremy. He is encouragement for other families who have suffered the loss of a child from Krabbes. You and your family will inspire many people through your experience. Trust me, it will be very rewarding. Maybe Adam can update the journal sometime and tell us about what he is doing.
Take care and I will see Tanys and Jeremy next week at Duke. Until then, Take care.

Hello Tanys and Jeremy Allen, I am sorry it took so long to write, but I just got the address from Brad Brovan. I hear Jeremy is pulling through. That is wonderful. You definately have angels watching over him and your family. He will be the 2nd miracle that this family has experienced. I'm sure it is tough for you to be so far away from Randy, Adam and your home. I don't know how you do it. You will be rewarded some day for your strength. Amanda, Amy and Jeremy say hello. Well take care and we hope you are all together soon. Our prayers are with you. God Bless you all. The Grnos

Dear Tanys,
It is so good and encouraging to hear that the lab tests are continually getting stronger, just like Jeremy. I know it seems like a long time for those 50 days but when it comes you'll just wonder where all the time went. I can't believe my cousin Gina is one year old and soon one year post transplant. I know this time next year will be Jeremy's celebration. Hang in there Tanys and let each day come and go one at a time, believe me it is easier said than done but I know you can do it. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers.
Stay strong and keep smiling, just like Jeremy.

Dear Tanys,
Good news about the CMV being negative this week! I was so happy to hear the news. I lifted Jeremy up to heaven in prayer in church today and prayed for his continued recovery from the transplant. Keep up your spirits those 50 days may seem long but you are in the best place you can be for Jeremy. Don't think about your job right now, it will all fall into place. I know it will. Your most important job is taking care of Jeremy and yourself right now. When you get home you can worry about "life". The next 50 days are important in keeping healthy for the next part of your journey. I will call soon. Your friend,

Dear Tanys, We hope that you have had time to read the updates on Gina, especially the past few weeks with the celebration of her first birthday. Jan. 29 will be one year since her transplant and our hearts are joyful in knowing that she is doing so well. Keep the faith that your precious Jeremy will also be home soon and that God will work out all the details of your lives. It is awesome how so many lives are touched by the life of one child and each day there is more awareness of Krabbes. Thank you for sharing your family with everyone on the web. We pray that some day there will be prevention of this disease. We continue to follow your updates and pray that your needs will be met. Your friends in Christ's love,

Dear Jeremy and Family,
Hi my name is Cassandra Vitense and I am 15 years old and live in Madison, Wisconsin. My mom does inhome daycare and in early October after many test and hospitalizations, we recieved the news that one of the children she takes care of has Krabbes. It has been a struggle for all of us but with the help of all the wonderful sites and yours we have been able to learn about this diease. Some days are trying and there are times when all we can do is sit and cry along with Ashley but knowing that there are other families out there coping right along with us gives us the courage and strenght to go on. We often wonder what our little angel Ashley did to deserve this but we are learning to think of the postive instead of the negative. I watched and learn to feed Ashley when she was on the NG tube and now I have learned how to feed her since she had the stomach feeding tube inserted. Ashley has good days and bad but no longer smiles when she is awake. Every now and then she will smile when she is sleeping and we have been told that she is playing with the angels in heaven that will one day guide her and love her as much as we all do. You are in are prayers and daily thoughts.
With Much Love,
Cassandra Vitense

Dear Tanys,
I was so touched by Jeremy's precious face today. My friend Lisa Killinger graced me with your web site. Know that I am praying for you and your family. Our God is so powerful. I think some times we forget that He spoke this world and it's inhabitants into being. He controls the big things in life as well as the small things, like your little Jeremy. His eyes are on you and your family. Continue to glorify God for He is listening. When you get too scared and feel you just can't do what is asked of you, find comfort in this passage from Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you;do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.He loves you, your family as well as His little Jeremy.Trust Him.He will help you. Your sister in Christ, Tammy

Dear Tanys, My name is Sherry, I am Lisa Killinger's mother in law. She has been keeping me updated on the progress of your little angel, Jeremy. I just visited your web site for the first time. I am very pleased to report to you that there are 10 more of your sisters and brothers in Christ who are praying for your whole family. We are a home Bible study group from Colorado Springs. God created every member of your family for only one reason. That reason being to have a personal relationship with each of you. Therefore it will be impossible for him to turn his back on any of you. There will be times when you will feel so isolated and alone that you will think that you just can't possibly get through one more day. These are the times when you will be able to do absolutely nothing but just TRUST that God meant it when he said in Deuteronomy 31:8, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." In all history of mankind, God has never gone back on his word. There is no reason for anyone to think he is about to start doing that now. You just keep picking your feet up, God will continue putting them down in the path he has prepared for you to walk. Being a grandparent myself, I find myself praying fervently for your parents whom are caring for your other little angel, Adam. May God bless you and keep you, Jeremy, Tanys, Randy, Adam, Grandma, and Grandpa. In Christ's love, Sherry :~)

Dear Tanys, I can't imagine the emotional stress you must be bearing right now. But God has a plan for you and your little boy. You just can't see it because you are too close to it. By the way, I'm Brenda, Lisa Killinger's aunt. I and my husband had the priviledge of leading Lisa to the Lord. I grew up in the Fall Creek area and went to school there all my life. I became a Christian almost nine years ago and now I'm a pastor's wife. I'ts amazing what God can do with us.
I principal our small Church/school and ever since I heard of your suffering we at the school have been praying for you and your family. Lisa has kept me updated up til now. I just read a passage in Luke this past week when Jesus told Peter that he would pray that his faith would not fail. I will be praying that for you. Put your confidence in the Lord He will never fail you no matter what the outcome.
God Bless you, Brenda

HAPPY NEW YEAR! It just started to snow, again. So awesome! It seemed like we had way way too many winters without snow or not enough. Timothy and I love to look at the tiny intricate flakes and to make snow angels. Shoveling has its perks too!

Tanys, Randy, Jeremy, and Adam, Be encouraged and remember that you are loved. It is so cool to see the outpour of people's hearts; praise God for technology! Thank you to everyone who has been praying for and encouraging baby Jeremy and his family. BLESS YOU!! Dear Tanys,
My name is Carol Cross and my daughter Laura was transplanted Aug. 99 and I wrote to you one time before. I just read your journal entry and I just wanted to encourage you to take one day at a time. If you come to the end of the day and you and Jeremy are there together, you have done a great job! There are sooo many things to worry about in the future and so many "what ifs" and "when will that happen" that you will just wear yourself out with them all. But if you only focus on the day that you have with your precious child, you can do it with God's strength. I really know how hard it is right now for you - emotionally, physically, mentally. But you really have come through the hard stuff and it will get easier. It may not seem like it just yet, but it will.
You are fighting the fight for Jeremy and are doing a marvelous job. Your love for him will give you strength and help you go on when you feel like there is nothing more you can give. And God will fill in all the rest. And you know God gave Jeremy you because He knew you could do it. Keep fighting the fight for him. I will pray for you and your family and ask God to give you peace of mind in all of the many roles you have to fill right now. God bless you in this new year - it has so much hope! my best regards to you, Carol

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We are so thrilled that you are out of the hospital. Arliss and I helped moved Anne and Gina and stayed with them the first few days out on their own. It is great to have the privacy but a little scary to be on your own too. Just remember those nurses are only a phone call away and the hospital too. Gina also got the CMV virus but at a later date and had to be on antibiotics for it. Fortunately, the doctors have caught it very early and will be able to continue treatment. Tanys, it is all so overwheming, especially when you are by yourself but know that many hourly prayers are with you and God will give you the strength you need each day. Also, there are many people in the community and churches who are willing to help in any way so use the contacts that you have or ask for more resources. The transplant process has come such a long way even with the things the doctors learned from Gina's transplant and soon Jeremy will be home, healthy and normal. May God Bless You and Keep You and Your Family in His Loving Care as you begin the new year.

Hey Tanys and Randy and Jeremy! Timothy is sleeping, but I am positive that he sends his love and kitty kisses...yes, my boy, now three, thinks that he is a cat. Meow (ox)!

Each and every day I lift you in prayer and ask God to give you overflowing courage and strength. I know that he has and will continue to do so. LEAN ON HIM. REST IN HIM. DEPEND ON HIM! Do not worry that you are not pleasing God or giving Him enough of your time, consideration, praise, glory, etc. HE UNDERSTANDS!!!

Cindy and I are eager to see you and to be with you in January. We are trusting God to work out all the details, like where to stay, and what He wants us to do with and for you while we are there, etc. He has already provided care for Timothy and airfare. Praise the Lord!

Blessings and love to all of you. Wish you could be here to experience the fabulous snow and beautiful Winter that we have been having. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!. Love, BJ

Dear Randy and Tanys,
I just read your update, and it made my heart ache for you. I can relate a little to what you are going through and how overwhelming all of it can be. When Steven has his surgery and trach and all of that, it was an experience that I will never forget, and didn't know either that I could get through it, but I did, and only with God's help, that is for sure. Don't be ashamed to cry....you need to do that. It is a very stressful, unknowing situation and you have the right to be down sometimes.Tom and I went through that too, and thankfully when I was down in the dumps, he was up and vise versa. Hold on to each other and the Lord and he will get you through. You have come so far...Praise the Lord! We will continue to pray for you, specifically for you needs that you requested. We love you all and care about you.

Hi! We are so excited to hear of Jeremy's progress! We are praying for rapid healing, and that God will continue to provide for all your needs.

We are experiencing such a meaningful Christmas season here at Valleybrook that I hate for you to be missing it! Last weekend, Kendal portrayed Mary's father and all the emotions of her telling him that she's pregnant, Joseph isn't the father but God is! He thinks she is insane or losing it, that Joseph may divorce her or could even have her stoned! But then he realizes the validity of her encounter with the angel and that she may very well be carrying the Messiah! It was a tear-jerker!

You are definitely missing WINTER! Seems to snow daily and the temps just aren't habitable! I've lived in Wisconsin for 25 years and don't remember a winter like this. (Except for my first WI winter. It was below zero for 6 weeks staight, but I didn't know any better!)

God bless you! We will keep praying for God's hand of healing!

Hello! We're in the middle of another snowstorm here in WI- suprise, huh! Probably have 3 inches of fresh snow since this morning and roads are slick. Heard that Chippewa schools let out early, but don't know about the Eau Claire ones.

Wonderful news that Jeremy's cells are growing!!! Hope the worst of everything is behind you. We are anxious to see Jeremy again, and have you back home.

My mom is visiting and watching Landon today as I am working. She enjoys helping out when needed. He is growing so much and weighs 13 lbs already. I'm sure Jeremy will catch-up fast once he gets better. Landon has been smiling a lot and making more noises like he's trying to carry on a conversation. Just a little charmer! Doing daycare with Addie makes having one baby seem easy, but it hasn't been too bad. It will be good once they are a little older, and once it is summer so we can be outside.

Kevin enjoys his trucking job, but I worry with him out in the bad weather. He has seen a lot of horrible accidents. He tells me about his day, and I just cringe. Maybe low pay at the DNR was okay after all!

I saw tigger at noon today. He is definitely missing human contact! I try to spend a little time scratching and a little time playing with him, but he misses his mommy and daddy!

Keeping you in prayer, Love Heidi

Tanys, Randy, Jeremy, Althought the pain of having to go through this is great, it is wonderful to hear of the good progress Jeremy is making so far. Every Krabbe baby saved is one for the history books. Keep up the good work, and keep in mind that in a couple of years what seems so hard now will only be a memory as you have a healthy child to love and hold. Hi Tanys, Randy & baby Jeremy,
I got your webpage from Kelly Sroczyk in Durham. We had a baby daughter Emilee who had Krabbes and was transplanted there at Duke a year ago this month. Unfortunetely she passed away at Duke from complications in January. She was 2 days shy of becoming 9 months old. She faught a tough battle but God had other plans for her. Jeremy sounds like he is a fighter as well and God will take great care of him. We will keep you in our prayers.
Emilee's webpage is www.caringbridge.com/page/emileespage

Dear Randy,Tanys and family,
We just heard today(Sunday Nov.26) that you are in North Carolina with your new son. We will pray for you for sure. You have been on our minds alot lately, since I saw the birth announcement in the paper. I have wanted to call or drop you a line, but I didn't and I wish that I had. I am sorry for all the pain and hearthache that you are going through, but you sound optimistic.... the prognosis is good??? We will pray for a full recovery for Jeremy. It was great to be able to see the pictures of all of you. I was thankful that we went to Valleybrook today. We have been going to Clearview Church the past few weeks, so have missed the news at Valleybrook. All we can say is that we are sorry, we will pray for you and may God Bless all of you.May he also give you the strenght and endurance that you need to run the race before you. You all take care........we will pray.....
Love to you, Tom and Barb Anderson,Jenny Steve and Tim too.

Dear Tanys, Randy and Jeremy,
We are following your updates and noticed that you mentioned the nurse, Maggie at Duke. She was one of the nurses who took excellent care of baby Gina and we had the opportunity to meet her. She was on duty the day that Arliss and I helped move Anne and Gina to their apt. and she had become very much in love with Gina. We are so happy that she is there with you all. Say hello to her for us if you will. All of the doctors and nurses and staff are wonderful at Duke and God watches over all of them to give them the strength and knowledge to take care of all the children. Being at the Children's Hospital was a life changing experience for us. I hope you got our personal email and that you know that many people are praying for Jeremy and your family. God Bless You and give you all that you need each day.

Hi - my name is Carol Cross and my daughter Laura was transplanted here in St. Louis Aug. of 99. She was a newborn as well. She is 15 months post transplant (today) and is doing great. No sign of Krabbes whatsoever! I'm so glad all went well on transplant day for Jeremy. From now on, everything done for Jeremy will be to help him (I thought the chemo was so hard mentally because I knew it was "hurting" Laura). I will be praying for him and for your whole family. I know it is so hard but try to take just one day at a time and not think to much about tomorrow (it certainly has enough worries of its own!). I looked at Laura's time in the hospital as a special gift to me - no work, no cooking, no laundry, no housework, - just Laura. I held her and rocked her and enjoyed every day that I had with her. I pray that your time with your son will be as special and that you will feel God's love and presence there with you in his room. my thoughts are with you, Carol Cross

Hi to Jeremy and family.

My name is Micki Gartzke. I live in Shorewood, Wisconsin. I heard about Jeremy from Anne Rugari. I just want to let you know that I will say prayers for Jeremy as he fights his way through this transplant battle. I had a little girl, LeA, who was born October 14, 1996 and she had Krabbes. She was our first child and by the time she received her diagnosis, transplant was no longer an option. She lived to be 2 years old. so I know you have li'l Angel LeA cheering for your whole family. You are not alone. I will follow your progress and keep you in my thoughts. Best wishes and Lots of hugs and kisses to Baby Fighter Jeremy. I am so glad you got to meet Anne Rugari. Tanys, Randy, Jeremy, and of course, Adam,
So glad you've finally gotten the website up and going. It's nice to hear an update and know that things are going well. Jeremy and actually your whole family are in our prayers every day. Jordan makes sure we pray that "baby Jeremy"gets better. Though we cannot even imagine what you're feeling or going through, you are not alone.
Love, Wendy, Dave and Jordan

I know that this is hard on all of your family, even those who are indirectly involved. I pray many blessings upon you and your precious child, and may you know that God is above watching over you all. We do not always understand why things happen but rest assured God has control. The song "Take it to the Lord and leave it there" has a great meaning and benefit if we can but do just that. Patience is one of the hardest virtues we can achive but during the times of testings we practice it without even being aware we are. Thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your time of testing and if you need to lean I am here. May God bless you all...Gail
