Patrick Seamus Xavier Good May 2, 1995- January 30, 2006

We are not here to fit in, as much as we might like to. We are here to teach, to lead, to heal, to remind others, if only by our example.

We celebrated Patrick's life yesterday at Crystal Cove State park. The cliffs above the beach were awash with yellow flowers and despite the overcast day it was a beautiful healing way to spend Patrick's birthday.
I continue to be in awe at the dedication of friends and family, I see many of you still check in and I received about 20 calls wishing Patrick a Happy Birthday!

What a special gift Patrick continues to give us, the gift of love and connectedness. We will forever feel connected to him. He has appeared to me several times, in dreams, in rainbows, in physical rushes of pressure. One day while I was riding my bike training for a century ride with 2 friends I found myself unprepared for harsh weather and was on the verge of hypo-thermia. Luckily the friends I was riding with saw me through, one of them was pushing my bike up a hill as I pedaled. I kept praying to Patrick to assist mommy however possible; when I turned to thank my friend for continuing to push me I saw he had fallen back and realized the force pushing me was in fact my son.

We miss him every day and we do what we can to continue to live our lives as fully as possible.

In Patrick's honor many of you generously contributed to his memorial fund, THANK YOU!! We have made donations in Patrick's name to:
The River City Skate Park (rivercityskatepark.com a skate park in a semi-rough neighborhood, by encouraging kid's into skateboarding they hope to reduced drug interests)

Camp Mak-a-Dream (campdream.org)a camp experience for people with cancer in Montana. Last year Patrick attended and said it was one of the best experiences of his life.

And The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (lls.org) As always this continues to be a passion with Team in Training we ride in honor of our little angel.

We love him, miss him and thank you for keeping his spirit alive.

Stephanie
