Just viewed the story with Dax Locke and his family and neighbors. Cannot imagine what a parent and close family member feels during this sort of ordeal other than extreme everything.
Children truly are the best patients and God's most precious gift. Soon to be back with Him in the highest realms of Heaven. Love Love Love.

CREATE A PEPPER AT CHILI'S TO FIGHT CHILDHOOD CANCER!!!!

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Chili’s Grill & Bar® announced the kick-off of their fifth annual Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer campaign. Now through September 30, Chili’s restaurants around the country and, for the first time, in Puerto Rico, are marking National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by inviting people to get creative and raise funds to help St. Jude find cures and save children with cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
Guests at participating Chili’s restaurants can contribute to St. Jude in multiple ways:

- Make a donation to St. Jude and receive a Create-A-Pepper chili pepper coloring sheet designed for display at restaurants during the month.

- Purchase Create-A-Pepper T-shirts that can be customized with permanent marker.

- Buy a customized Create-A-Pepper key that can be cut for use at home or the office.

- Eat at Chili’s on Monday, Sept. 29, when Chili’s will donate 100 percent of profits from participating restaurant sales to St. Jude.

Visit www.createapepper.com and to make an online donation.

PASS IT AROUND!!!!

GET YOUR FRIENDS/FAMILY TOGETHER!!! TRUST ME ITS SUCH AN AMAZING CAUSE :)

Hip hop, hippety hop
My “Easter Bunny” went off to the shop,
He bought me an egg and lots of chocs
And packed them into a cardboard box.
Then he wrapped it with paper and shiny string
It really was such a pretty thing.
Disaster struck when I opened the door-
He slid across the parquet floor,
He went round the corner and past the stairs
And finished up in a pile of chairs.
Of the Easter goodies not a trace,
he’d thrown them into my fireplace!
So a warning before you go opening doors
Make sure your “Bunny” has non-slip paws!

Happy Easter

With lots of love,

A PRAYER FOR CHRISTMAS

God Give Us eyes this Christmas
To see the Christmas Star.
And give us ears to hear the song
of angels from afar

And, with our eyes and ears attuned
for a message from above,
Let "Christmas Angels" speak to us
of hope and faith and love

Hope to light our pathway
When the way ahead is dark,
Hope to sing through stormy days,
with the sweetness of the lark

Faith to trust in things unseen
and know beyond all seeing
That it is in our Fathers love
We live and have our being

And love to break down barriers
of color, race and creed,
Love to see and understand
and help all those in need.

Lord, bless those we love this Christmas Day,be they near or far away Bless those good friends who mean so much and those with whom we're out of touch. We bring them all to You in prayer, and ask You to keep them in Your care.

Please know that you are thought of, in a very special way, not just this beautiful season but every day.

A: Winnie the Pooh!

Q: Why do bears have fur coats?
A: Because they'd look stupid in anoraks!

Hello, i was watching a couple of new records being set at the Olympics today, so thought i would look up some slightly stranger ones instead of some jokes.

Here's a couple;

Most spoons balanced on the face
Tim Johnston (USA) (b. 1 January 1992), was able to balance on his face (one on each ear, two on each cheek, three on his chin, two on his lips, one on his nose and three on his forehead) and balance them for 30 seconds at on May 28, 2004.

British pub landlord Garry Turner clipped 153 ordinary wooden clothes pegs on his face at the WH Smith bookshop in York, Yorkshire, UK, on September 28, 2002

Elizabeth,
Just thought I would drop a note concerning your entry. Your son has been in my prayers every night for years and will continue to be, as are all of the children we have met through Jackson. The doctors always have to be forthright on their opinions regarding statistics, cell counts etc. So that is to be expected, but I know that you my friend, as a believer can find that peace to fill your heart and that trust in Him that all is well. :)

I love to read how well Aidan is doing OT! I'm sure the drop in platelets is related to a viral thing and is probably just his body readjusting itself to "normal", whatever that is. :)

I've also been amazed at the opportunities God has given me over the years of Ross's treatment. I think we are being given an wonderful opportunity to witness through our trials.

Keep up those great OT reports - I especially love hearing about the baseball. It's near and dear to our hearts as well!

I stopped by today and wanted to let you know I was here. I read through your journal some more and looked at the dates and it had been three years since you entered the beginning of the journal. Wow! three years, and now playing t-ball. I am so happy for Aiden. I can remember spending some time in your area while my girls played fastpitch softball in Richland. It was always hot! Cameron too was a patient of Dr. Herzog for a while in his treatment. His Dad changed jobs so they no longer have Group Health so he just sees the onc at Children's now, Dr. Geyer. Keep on top of the Big C Aiden and do not let it ever ever return.

Dear Goodwin family,

Sounds like you are happy to see spring once again (as are we!!). Poor Andrew, it's so tough growing up isn't it? I struggle with the self esteem issue w/both of my boys at times. I remember when they were younger, they seemed to think they could conquer the world. I wonder if its just a phase or if its the world that causes them to question their abilities..... I'm sure you will do the right things to bring him through it. Its great to hear about Aidan's hair growing in so thick, what a joy that must be to you! Will continue to keep him in our prayers for a clean bill of health. God bless you all!

I guess the fact that you can go a couple of weeks between entries is a wonderful thing! Nothing new to report except for life and the everyday happenings that go with it. What a blessed relief for all of you. Will still keep Aidan in my prayers and continue to ask the Lord to watch over him (and his pretty awesome older brother!). Enjoy!

Elizabeth,
I just got done reading through your journal entries and I have to tell you that I have a big smile in my heart! Knowing that Aidan has finished his treatment and is cancer free is wonderful. We began our journey into the world of childhood cancer 5 months ago and it has not been easy. I wanted to thank you for checking in on Isaac. Next time you are in town and you have some free time please feel free to call me (360-944-3618) perhaps we can go for coffee. Take care and I hope that the chicken pox aren't too rough on your little guy.

Touch Of An Angel

I felt an angel's touch today,
in the midst of my despair.
Twas sent by God, Himself, to say,
"be still and know I'm there."

To lead through days of darkness,
and light your way with love.
Be still and know, deep in your heart,
I'm reigning from above.

I'll lift you when you stumble,
I'm with you all the time.
I understand and share your pain;
remember child of mine,

The end is coming quickly;
the Lord shall soon appear.
To resurrect the righteous ones,
I love and hold so dear.

And bring them home, into a place,
where broken hearts are healed.
And promises I made to you,
will finally be fulfilled.

This life is but a spot in time,
a place for lessons learned.
Heaven holds the key to all,
your broken spirit yearns.

I sent an angel down today,
to show my words are true.
You're never far, beyond the arms,
of all God's love for you.

I wrote this poem for my daughter. I pray you too will feel the touch of an angel today. You are in my heart and prayers.

Love and hugs
Judy
