Hi Tammy and Family,

I just spent the weekend at the Wilderness Fellowship in Siren, WI where Dan's sister Rachel had left a copy of the book. It gave me such encouragement to read as I had my own sins to confess that were keeping me from God's love. Thank you so much for your last post - it reminded me of all that God worked on with me this weekend. Thank you for sharing Dan and thank you for keeping the book available.

Blessings,

Angel

I am very grateful for the life and ministry of Dan. I finished reading the book last night and I was so moved to pray and thank God for Dan's life. I am truly blessed even though I never met the man. Thanks to God.

Was thinking about Dan today as a student in my class mentioned his uncle had only a month to live. I remember Dan asking the athletes at Northwestern college "If you had a month to live would you be doing some things differently?" I shared about Dan and the impact he has had on people around here. Take care, God bless.

Tammy

Whatever made me think of looking up Dan Roelofs name today is beyond me. I ended up typing in his name on the internet to come up with the title of his book and it led me the caring bridge site. Your last entry was on March 20, 2007 where you wrote about Dan's 4 year anniversary with the Lord. It is March 20, 2008, and I realized he has now just celebrated another year with the Savior. So I couldn't let the moment pass to not write or say anything to you. I pray that you have such a great day celebrating the life of Dan with the boys and Scott. God has taken such good care of you. Sending you much love today.

Tammy,

Just read your last entry. I am so encouraged to hear that you have given everything to God and allowed Him to work in your life. Your story is incredible because you are allowing God to work through you and your family. Sharif recently had a mole removed and she is going tomorrow to hear the results of whether she has cancer or not. We have already decided that we are at peace with whatever God brings our way. He knows best. Your story encourages us. May God continue to bless you and exalt you as you serve Him.

Tammy, I still check the website every so often and I am thankful for your updates. The words that you share are a heart-warming and heart-wrenching; all at the same time. God has given you a story and a heart to share it and I thank you for continuing to do so.

I will continue to pray for you as you raise your boys in the Lord; I pray that God gives you the strength and courage to stay strong in the fight for them as they grow from boys to young men. I pray that they as they grow, they continue to further the legacy that their father left them with. He was a good man; I will pray that they follow his footsteps.

Tammy, what a wonderful update. You have such an incredible gift for just being "real" with God and allowing Him to meet you where you are at. That ministers to me in such a HUGE way - and how blessed the boys are to have you for their Mom. By the way, Tammy's "special guy" (wink, wink) is GREAT! We got to meet him in December and we ALL approve! As we all know, Tammy deserves only theeee best!! We love you all and miss you tons!
