Thank you for mentioning Jack Corbo. I know you have followed their site pretty much from the beginning. This never gets easier and even with my Christian faith I do not understand why so many innocent children have to die. I just don't and it's frustrating.

We are so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. May you find some peace in your heart. It's so difficult this time of year to have such strong feelings of loss. We're confident your Mom is watching over all of you. She's not far away.

We sure hope Zachary gets to feeling better soon. It seems as if the darn flu has been hitting kids hard. We spent most of November in the hospital...Jack was not really sick, just the issue of extra fluid around his lungs. He was actually riding around the hospital in a toy car. But there sure were a lot of kids sick with a stomach bug. We got to see our friend ^Ellis^ because he was there.

When it is humid here, I know with the chemo Nikki has
to have...it gets her down too. We usually have to stay
inside with the AC on. Luckily the last two days it has
been much better and the windows are opened up again!

Hello,
I just came across your site. What a beautiful little boy you have. My son struggled with respiratory issues as a young child, but is now a healthy, police officer, Black Hawk helicopter pilot in the Army guard, and all around great guy. (age 24) I want to share a story with you about Shannon Olson ( mother of Drew and McKenna, who are both in heaven) My grandaughter Kylie was in the hospital with McKenna in March. She told us how bad she felt for us, I told her that at least we weren't dealing with a terminal illness, and that we were thankful we weren't in her shoes. She told us " who is to say that anyone's cross to bear is any easier than anyone else's" She reminded me that anyone who has a sick child, worries, and has a different life than those with normal, healthy children.
We can be thankful that it could be worse, but we still worry about our child. Hope this helps.

Yes, Max Jordan's story is breaking my heart. It's almost as if I drag my feet before going to his site because I cannot stand to read of his suffering.

I came upon this website while visiting a website of a friend I went to high school with who died as a firefighter on 9/11. I know that Zachary is with God and the angels have taken him home. I had cancer myself and I know the pain it causes. I hope Zachary's family finds strength to move on and I send them my sincere condolences.

Glad to hear you are all home from the hospital! Hope Zach can fight off the next cold without getting pneumonia. I didn't hear about those car accidents in Princeton...I'm sure the parents are deeply grieved. I worry about car accidents more than disease even though we already experienced cancer.

Thanks for letting us know about this webpage for Zachary and sharing the latest pictures. He is so "adorable" and looks like he is enjoying the snow very much. Sorry we didn't get back to visit with everyone at Christmas--darn this weather--but hope to see you again real soon. Just checked the temps outside and it is -21 degrees with a windchill of -35. Hope it warms up just a "tad" so the kids can play outside and everyone's car will start. Just wait until Grandmom and Granddad Bernhardt return from Florida tomorrow--are they in for a nasty shock!! Yes, it is very cold here in Minnesota...but I guess we should expect that. Summer and fall always make up for our winters.

I hope Zachary's RAD remains in control and that he does not have to experience too much discomfort. He seems to already have changed so much from when I saw you all last June.

Zachary is so cute. I hope that his breathing treatments continue to provide relief. I think I had told you before there have been two times that Parker has been sick and had to be put on a neubilizer. Whenever he gets a cold he wheezes so bad it and hard it sounds horrible...and that has only happened twice. I wouldn't know how to handle it if it was an everyday occurance. Take care and stay warm. It was 5 degrees this morning, but we are suppose to warm up to 16 by the end of the day!!
