Nathan Pichette's Journey

Welcome to Nathan's Web Page. On February 5th 2001, Nathan (8 months old) was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma (Stage IV), a rare, solid tumor pediatric cancer.
On February 6th, he had surgery to remove part of the tumor that was wrapped around his spine and putting pressure on his spinal cord therefore causing paralysis. At the same time, another surgery was done to place a Hickman Catheter into his chest. On February 15, 2001, Nathan had his very first chemotherapy..
And so the long journey of treatments to remission begins.

We will use this website as a means of keeping our loved ones up to date on his progress. We appreciate all the love, caring & support that our family & friends have given and continue to give us. Please keep praying for us.
Love always,
Don, Bridget, Kearsten & Nathan

Hi Everyone,

It sure has been awhile since I posted anything. Quick update: Nathan had an appointment on Weds Sept 17th. He is finally growing & gaining weight. He's 34 lbs and 33 inches tall. The blood draw was tramatic to start because he got all worked up at the sight of the needle, but it was quick & painless. Even Nathan said that it didn't hurt. Nathan & Don stopped by my office on the way home for a quick lunch & Nathan was doing great.

Nathan's next CT scan will be the 1st week of December.

Talk to you all soon.
Bridget
