This is Angel Jen (Aunt Jennie to Harley) and I have not been able to update lately. I am having a bit of health problems, so if you all will be pray for me, I would appreciate it. Please pray for my son, Jason

Harley is doing about the same. She is still weighing in at around 27 lbs. She can not eat yet. She has to be fed by the tube in her stomach a formula that costs around $1,000 a month, I have been told. It is all the vitamins etc that her little body needs. The doctors increased the nutrients so it went up around $200. (from $800.00 to $1,000.00) Thank God, that He is the provider.

Harley does wear (when they can get her to keep them in) hearing aids in each ear. She is learning sign language.

She is such a sweet child. I see videos and pictures from the family holidays and she loves to help my sister with the picture taking. She got a small camera for Christmas from Santa.

I will update again as soon as I feel up to it. God bless all and remember to pray for all the sick.

Harley had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas. My sister, Seal made a scarf and cap for her and when she opened up the gift, she immediately put the scarf around her neck (after holding it up in front of her) and then threw it around her shoulder and took her hands and pulled it around her neck. LOL She then stuck her tongue out like she was choking herself. I didn't get to be there but Seal made a video and I got to see it. I will share with everyone as soon as I am able to put it on here.

I have some good pictures also to share with you all.

She doing good as far as I know. Still a tiny little girl but seems to be full of energy. She loves my sister and always stays close to her during the holidays. She loves the camera and she and Seal takes pictures together. She received from Santa and cute little child camera that really takes pictures.

Will share more news later.

There is no change in Harley's condition. I will be having more pictures after Thanksgiving to post. My sister, Seal will be taking many pictures for us if all goes well and the weather does not get bad. You know the white stuff......

She will be taking pictures of Harley with her new gift. I will not say yet what it is because I don't want to ruin the surprise for the family. But, there will be pictures and a great big thank you for the sweet friends that sent it to her.

She is still weighing about the same. Not sure on the weight but I do believe it is still between 25 - 26 pounds. She will be 5 years old in May and still a tiny little tot.

Harley is weighing in at 25 lbs. 3 ozs. at last doctor's appointment. Thank God!!!! This is more than she has ever weighed that I know of. She is 4 years old.

She is not a happy camper with the hearing aids in her ears. She doesn't want them in and keeps taking them out, I have been told.

I was talking to Ruby (Harley's other aunt) and she told me that Harley had lost a few ounces. She is down to 24.4 lbs. now. (I am not 100ure of the ozs. but am sure it was 24 lbs.)

She is so active all the time. They had a birthday party for her at the park the Saturday before her birthday. Ruby said she was riding her tricycle and running around having a great time.

She still does NOT like the hearing aids in her ears. Hard to keep them in. She keeps taking them out from what I understand.

Ruby made a few pictures and I am sure I will get a copy of them but she also said she didn't know how good they turned out cause all the little cousins of Harley's was playing around and she couldn't get very good shots of her.
Hopefully they will be good ones even with the little ones playing together. We are so glad she is feeling good enough to play.

I don't know if they have gotten another cat or not. I know Sam had to be put to sleep and Dalton cried all the way home holding the box that Sam was placed in at the vet.
So sad, he was so upset when his dad was killed and now their pet.

Harley's birthday was Tuesday, May 15th. She turned a whopping 4 years old. Her Aunt Ruby told me that she still was at the same weight of 25 lbs. Is this little baby girl ever gonna gain some weight?

Harley is doing good as of the last report from her Aunt Ruby. I still promise to post new pictures, but Seal has been sick and has not uploaded them off her camera yet. Soon, hopefully, I promise.

Harley is still doing good. She acts like a normal 3 year old getting ready to turn 4 on May 15th. Except for the hearing aids and having the feeding tube in her tummy and her small weight size, you wouldn't know anything was wrong with her. I sure do pray for a miracle on her and all that are sick. I even ask for a miracle for myself.

Seal has not uploaded the pictures yet but as soon as she does, I will for sure post them for you all to see.

I haven't heard if they (Harley and Dalton) has gotten another pet or not. I will try and find out this week.

Harley is doing good. I think she has gained, Loretta her granny, told me. She is now 25 lbs., I believe was the last report that I got.

She lost her pet, Sam. Brother Dalton cried all the way home from the vet. It is sad to lose a pet.

I will (promise) post some more pictures. We have some on my sister's camera, but she has not downloaded them to the computer. But, just as soon as she does, I will post.

On a previous update, I stated that Harley loved bacon. I was wrong, she loves the taste of bacon but can not eat just licks the bacon. She gets sick when she watches her brother eat. She is still having to be fed with the special formula through the tubes in her stomach. The formula runs around $800.00 a month. She still only weighs 23 lbs, the last time I asked the family about the weight. Please keep her in your prayers as well as all the other sick.

Harley was helping Seal (my sister) on Christmas. She would point to different ones for Seal to take pictures of. She remembered doing that with Seal on Thanksgiving.

She is getting to be a real little lady now. No more Baby Harley, it is a little girl with a sweet smile. So much energy, to be so small. Still 23 lbs. We all keep praying for a miracle, hearing to be in both ears and the leukemia to be completed gone now and forever.

Harley had a really good Thanksgiving. I saw the video
my sister made of her and she was really having fun.

She doesn't eat still. I thought she was eating bacon but she
only licks it. She gets to gagging
when she watches her
brother eat. She is still fed the formal stuff thru the thing in her stomach.

Harley is going to school 3 days a week now, learning sign language. She still has her hearing aids for her little ears. She doesn't care for them much.
She had rather be without them in her ears.

I will update more later. She is now at 23 lbs.

Harley has gained two more pounds and is now weighing 23 pounds. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!

She is still a little stinker, can't stay still and always seems happy. She still enjoys her cat, Sam and her brother Dalton and of course mom, Lori.

They all (Harley's two brothers, mom, granny and Harley) had a great time in Florida. Thanks to Make A Wish Foundation, she got to see Mickey and all his friends.

She is attending a special school now, learning how to sign language. Can you imagine, a tiny little 3 year old girl in school? Of course, she is taken to school and left because she is just to little to be left to attend school on a bus.

Harley and the family that went to Disney had a great time. Harley did NOT like the plane ride, cause she didn't want to sit. She wanted to be active up and down the rolls. LOL

They all had a great time on their trip and are now back safe and sound at home.

The family had a labor day picnic (which I don't get to attend any longer) and Harley (I was told) pecked Jason (my son) on the back and she held his finger for a while. I wished I could have seen that. She is so tiny and Jason is some over 6 ft.

She does not like to stay still so her mom had a lot of excerise at the park on Monday.

My back is some better, but still am having numb fingers on right hand. Very painful, like they are stuck in a block of ice all the time.

It has been a while since I posted about Harley. I just found out that Harley's two brothers, Ryan and Dalton, her mom and granny and Harley are all getting to go to Disneyworld at the end of July. I believe it is Make A Wish Foundation that is sending Harley and her siblings on this trip.

I am posting some pictures of Harley that was taken at her 3rd birthday. If you look at her, she looks like an average weight etc child, but compare her to the birthday cake. She is 3 but only weighs 21 pounds.

Today, June 13, 2006 and not much news on our little girl.

She was a candate for hearing aids, so she has one for each ear but can not wear them while in the car. Road noise would be to much for her little ears with the hearing aids.

Hope everyone enjoys her new page. I enjoyed doing it for her. It is still under construction as I add to it as time permits.

She had a great birthday. Her mom gave her a birthday party and also her brother, Dalton had one the month before. I didn't get to attend as usual but hopefully someday I will be able to go and enjoy the parties.

I hopefully will have some new pictures, if and when I can get the family to send me some. I know they are taking many cause that is one of the main things our family does is takes pictures.

Well, today is Mother's Day and Harley and the family went out to eat but I didn't get to go again.

They did have her birthday party yesterday, I was told. Our girl will be 3 years old tomorrow, May 15th.

Our little friend, Barrett will be 3 on May 25th.

Harley's brother, Dalton had a birthday party last month and I am sure both got some neat toys for their special days.

No change, that I have been told about in regards to Harley's condition. I do know that the last time I was told, she is still at 21 pounds.

Asking for prayers that she will be one that will be able to have the inplants or whatever it is they put in ears for her to be able to hear.

Happy Easter to all of Harley's friends who takes the time to come by and visit. Thanks for all your prayers for Harley. The family is waiting to see if Harley will be able to have the things put in her ears and hopefully it will make her be able to hear. As of right now she is deaf in both ears.

Still have not been able to start doing any chemo nor do any bone marrow transplant that needs to be done due to the leukemia.

Again, hope all has a great Easter and remember the reason for Easter....HIS name is JESUS.

Update [March 21, 2006] on Harley

Weight = 21 lbs.

DOB: May 15, 2006 {Will be 3 years old}

Harley had a very complicated hearing test on Tuesday and she had to be put to sleep for the doctors to do the test.

The test results show that her hearing loss is profound.

They do not think hearing aids will help. There is a good chance that she will be a canidate for couplear implants.

This is just another hurdle she and the family will have to jump over. Lori {mom} will start sign language classes on Monday.

Please continue to pray for all the sick. Please pray for a complete miracle healing on all.

What can I say. Aunt Ruby told me about what you are up to these days. Are you my little sticker or what?

Ok, I have to tell all your friends.

Ok, all of Harley's friends, our little girl is growing up. She does little things to get herself in trouble with her mommy. You know little things like pulling the cat's tail [poor Sam] and when she does something that she gets herself in trouble with mommy, she gets time out by having to go to the corner. Well, let me tell you is our girl smart or what?????

She now does something that she knows she is not suppose to do and she just goes ahead and takes her time out. She goes to the corner herself and then looks around to see if mommy is watching. That's my girl for you!!!!!

I know we shouldn't laugh when little ones or even big ones does something they shouldn't be doing, but how in the world can you keep from it. Just imagine a tiny little girl doing that. Taking up on herself to do her own punishment. She knows she has done wrong and she punishes herself before mommy even gets to do it herself.

All I can say is Harley, Harley, Harley I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

and by all means, God's love 'n sunshine to you and family always. Since, I am family, hey that's me too.

Harley is still a tiny little girl. She is only weighing in at around 20 lbs. She will be 3 years old on May 15th.

Her little friend, Barrett will also be 3 on May 25th. The last time I got a report from Barrett, she is still in remission. Thank God!!!!

Harley is still going to Vanderbilt Children Hospital learning how to eat and to talk. She loves to dance and model. The is a sweet little girl.

The phone run on Christmas Day and I called back to see who called. Thinking it was one of the adults, but guess what? It was my Harley girl. Her was calling her Aunt Jennie. LOL Sweet little baby voice.

Well, will report more as soon as I can get more information.

On Christmas day as usual, I was home and did not attend the family Christmas dinner.

I called them after sending some site address that Harley had received from different friends and then was back on puter. The phone rung. I picked it up but my finger slipped and I cut off the call. I checked caller ID to see who it was and it was the family calling. I called back up there and they said that they didn't call.

But, it turned out the call was from there but from a precious baby called Harley. She had hit the redial button to call her Aunt Jennie. (lol) They got her on the phone and I heard her trying her best to talk. Of course she is taking speak therapy at Vanderbilt alone with learning how to eat. It was so sweet and it made my day. My heart just felt so proud to hear her little voice on the phone. BUT then she got interested in trying to stick batteries in her pocket and left her Aunt Jennie just hanging on the phone. lol It was a great day to hear my sweet baby Harley's voice. I could have cried and still could, so I better go on to something else.

She is around 20 lbs. now. She will be three years old on May 15th.

I am posting a new picture that I received from her Aunt Ruby. It is really good.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
I talked to Harley's Aunt Ruby the other night and she said that Harley was a few ounces over 20 lbs. now.

She received a package from one of our SOEW member/friend and as soon as mom handed Harley the gift, she laid down in the floor and started to color. She knows what to do, just needs to learn what those lines in the coloring book are for.

Update on Harley from a friend of Harley's mom:

I have a quick update on Harley. She went to the doctor on Wednesday. She weighs in at 19lbs this week. She said her first word to me last week. Bye - Bye. It was Sooo Great!!!

And the news of the week is she is now caught up as far as Physical Therepy goes. That is one less apt. each week.Whoo Hoo!I will update again next month. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes!

Update on Harley:

Harley went to the doctor yesterday. She now weighs 18lbs 10oz.

The test results finally came in from Alabama, the bone marrow shows no improvement but it has not gotten any worse either.

She seems to feel well and is playing like any other two year old. Thanks to everyone for their continued prayers and good wishes.

June 19th UPDATE

Harley went back to the doctor this past week. She has not gained any weight but she did not lose any either. She has become so active she just burns off all the calories, the can get in her.

It is wonderful to see her running around, jumping and playing. Her curley hair framing her beautiful ,smiling face. She is a sweet baby.

Hello everyone.................

I will be posting at least 4 new pictures of Harley in a few days. These were made at the family's picnic on Mother's Day at Montgomery Bell State Park which is only about 6 miles from my home. I sure miss being with the family. I always get food sent home to me, but it is not like being there in the flesh with the family.

The family sends thanks to everyone who sent birthday wishes for Harley's on the 15th. Thanks for all the messages left in her guestbook. She is getting to be a big now!!

I also would like to say thanks for all the birthday wishes for Barrett also. Thanks for signing her guestbook and sending cards for her.

So, now we have two (NOT) terrible twos, but two sweetie pies that are loved by many!!!!

This is a good report/update for our Harley.

She went to the doctor a week or so ago and now weighs 18lbs 6oz. She also had her bone marrow test done. The results will not be known for a while but will let everyone know when they come in. Her counts this week were very good.

Hello everyone,

I am so glad you stopped by to visit Harley's page. Be sure and sign her guestbook and wish her a happy birthday.

She made an appearance at the Mother's Day picnic the family had. I sure wished that I was able to go but I have not been to the family get togethers in a couple of years. Maybe next year, I will be able to go. Or even the 4th of July picnic.

The last time I checked on Harley, she was up to 17 lbs. and 15 ounces and the doctors says she is gaining to fast now. So, now she has been cut back on calorie intake. Poor baby, when she does get to putting some pounds on, then she has to be cut back. I bet she wishes she could eat what she wants. They cut back on the fluids that is put in the tube in her stomach. You all know what I am talking about, I am sure.

Well, it is 3:08 am and I am still up redoing the pages. I wanted to do this one special for her birthday. I will also be redoing Barrett's page when it is closer to her birthday. Her special day is May 25th.

I would really appreciate it if you all would just fill up these guestbooks with birthday wishes for the girls. I know the the moms would love it. I do and I "ain't" the mom. lol

Good Morning everyone,

Just want to give everyone a update on Miss Harley. She went to the doctor, on Wednesday and weighed in at 17lbs and 15oz. She may be a tiny little girl but she sure is full of laughter.

Her counts are running the same and she is saying a few words now. MA MA MA MA and hi.

She has the biggest smile and the brightest eyes you will ever see.

Just wanted to take a short break and let you all know that Harley has decided she is big enough to help her mommy mop the kitchen floor. The only thing is she has not learned yet is that you don't mop Sam, the cat's food bowl. BUT, she is a big girl wanting to help her mommy clean house. She is finally up and walking and with the tube out of her nose, I am sure she is much happier. It is directly in her stomach now, but was in her nose for around 20 months.

Little Harley and her little friend, Barrett, both will be 2 years old in the next few weeks. Harley is 10 days older than Barrett. May 15th for Harley and May 25th for Barrett. Both are Vanderbilt Children Hospital kids. Barrett's cousin works with my sister and this is how I met Barrett. Harley's mom has seen Barrett at the doctor's visits before. She is a little doll. Already had her chemo treatment and bone marrrow transplant. Harley is still not heavy enough. She is just a little over 17 lbs.

Anyone that would like to wish Harley and/or Barrett birthday wishes may do so by using my post office box address and I will see that both girls gets it.

Barrett does not have any siblings. Harley has a brother, Dalton, will be age 8 in a couple of months. Harley also has a half brother, Ryan but he lives with his mom. Ryan is probably close to 14 years old. Not real sure of his age.

Continue to pray for Harley's grand-daddy, Peanut. He has been transferred to Vanderbilt due to the fact that the hospital he was in, got him off of his daily meds and he has to have his medicine straightened out. He has been and still is pretty sick.

Harley is beginning to eat a little. I was told that she likes bacon. She also has been caught sneaking her brother, Dalton's spoon from his bowl of soup and licking the soup off the spoon. So she must like chicken noodle soup. I wonder if it was Campbell's?
She is a little over 17 lbs and still needing to gain. The doctors has not started chemo on her yet, due to the fact that she does not have enough weight on her. Hopefully, a miracle will be done and God will heal her without chemo or bone marrow transplant. This is what I am praying for.
Her grand-dad, Peanut is in the hospital in ICU, so that is a concern of the family. He is having trouble with breathing and his lungs. They are slowly taking him off the machine that breaths for him. Would like for everyone to pray for him.
There was a chicken benefit supper on April 3rd for Harley's medical expenses. I was again unable to go, but I am sure if it was like the last one they had, everyone said the food was really good. I miss not being able to go out to these places but I just am unable to go. I only go out when I have to go to the doctor.
I would like to let everyone know about the page that Angel Jen did for the kids. It has been updated. It is a fun page for all the kids. I will be changing and adding all the time, so visit often. Harley will be 2 years old on May 15th. She has struggled a lot her two little years.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!
UPDATE ON HARLEY FROM VONNIE, FRIEND OF HARLEY'S MOM:

Ms. Harley is weighing in at 17lbs and 6oz.

She is going to feeding therepy twice a week. She has tried several new foods. A little taste is about all she will do. She does like chicken noodle soup.

She enjoyed her Valentines Day.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed and we ask you to continue to pray for Harley and all the sick babies.

I was told that Harley did lose weight this past doctor's visit, but I am not sure how much. I do know she is back under 17 pounds again.

Harley went to the doctor on Wednesday, January 12, 2005. She weighs 17lbs and 2oz. YEAH!!! Her counts are running a little high although nothing we haven't seen before.

She is such a joy to be around. The smile on her face shines in her eyes.

Hello everyone, just wanted to give a quick update on Harley. She is doing pretty good and got to spend Christmas with her family. This was the first one she got to attend. Last year, she was not able to be around many people so this is really her first Christmas outing. She spent Sunday since Christmas was snowy and icy at her cousin, Trudy's house. She had fun especially with all the family making faces at her. But, she never let them get the best of her. My son was one that kept on playing faces with her. Harley was able to be with the family on Sunday, December 26th and with everyone getting her to make faces at them, the pictures that I have posted are so funny. Christmas Day was snow and icy roads so Christmas was done on Sunday, the 26th.

I didn't get to attend but my sister took some pictures on what she did. Jason said he got her to make a face at him. If anyone could, Jason could with his funny faces he can make.

I hope to have some better pictures soon of her, but I love the ones that are showing what a little character she is. God bless her little heart.

Update:

Harley got to go home from the hospital on Thursday evening.

She has done well this weekend up till yesterday when she just wasn't feeling so good.

She hasn't run a fever as of yet but we are keeping a close eye on her.

Update on Harley

Good morning everyone,

Ms. Harley had her peg tube placed yesterday and did great during surgery. She will remain in the hospital for the next several days.

Mom sounds very tired this morning and said Harley had a rough night but is better this morning.

Please keep Harley and all the rest of these babies in your prayers.

Harley had her surgery around 11:00 or so yesterday, September 27, 2004. They place tubes in stomach and took them out her little nose. She is back home and doing well.

Harley update for 09/09/04

Hi everyone!

Little Ms. Harley went to the doctor yesterday.

She has gained 6oz in the past two weeks. This brings her up to 14lbs 6oz.

Her counts look about the same and she seems to feel good most days.

BIG NEWS!!

She is scheduled to go into the hospital on Sept.27th to have her Peg tube put in. She will be there a few days and of course I will let everyone know how that goes.

Keep praying for our sweet baby and all the other sick children.

Thanks to everyone who has signed the guestbook as well.

It is a great comfort to us all to know people who care are also praying and thinking for Harley and Mom and brothers.

Harley received a beautiful china doll from a dear friend of mine in Canada. Marge thank you. And she also included one for me for my happy mail office.

I heard that miss Harley has sunglasses and loves them. She don't want to take them off.

Also, heard that she don't like her feet touched. Don't dare try and play with her toes. She tucks those little legs up as far as she can. LOL

Today Harley is going for a upper GI study. This must be done before she can have surgery for the peg tube.

Hello everyone,

This weeks update on Harley. She saw the doctor yesterday.

She has lost 5 oz in the last two weeks which makes her weight at 14lbs. even. Her white blood counts are still in the 20's so no change there.

The big news is she has an appointment next week to see a surgeon to have a peg tube put in (stomach). She has had the NG tube for over a year. (tube in her nose)

I will let everyone know when this will happen.

Pray for our baby and her family that all goes well.

She learned to blow kisses this week!!

She also is like her aunt jennie's cat, Miss Kitty, learned to dial 911. My cat walked over the phone one time and it took the fire department (about 50 miles from where I lived) 3 hours to track down the call. I told the fireman when they came knocking at the door that I had been asleep. The one of the phone that I told this too said, "I know, I have heard you snore for 3 hours". lol lol Boy, what a night that was.

Harley also accidently learned to call 911 and had some fun for her mom.

I said she is like her aunt jennie, and the 911 accidents.

Everyone, pray for the gout that is in my hands. Really painful and can hardly type.

Hi everyone!

This weeks update is good.

Our little Harley has gained 5 oz in the last two weeks. This brings her up to 14lbs 5oz. Her counts were ok and she measured 25inches long.

She thinks she is just a big girl now. She is a little climber mom is hardly able to take her eyes off her.
She is a little monkey right now.

I want to thank everyone once again for all your thoughts and prayers and ask you to just keep the prayers flowing.

I want to thank Shavon for keeping the updates coming for my niece, Harley. I am glad that she is a dear friend to Harley's mom, Lori and helps her. Also thanks to Trudy (mom's cousin) for all the help she does for Harley and family. And for everyone who has helped in one way or another. Granny Loretta and Irene. Aunt Ruby and EVERYONE! Miss Harley went to the DR. yesterday and has gained up to 14lbs even. YEAH!!!! Her white counts are about where they have been for a while. Not alot of change in that area.

She is a smiling happy baby who brings so much joy to everyone she comes in contact with.

I will update as I get information to let everyone know how she is.

Update on today's doctor appointment

Harley still weighs 14 pounds. No gain, no loss.

Harley's white cell count was slightly elevated this doctor's visit.

She has ear infection.

She has a little cold/allergy.

She is in good spirits and seems to be feeling pretty well at this time.

The test results from UAB have not come in yet.

Just a note to let everyone know Harley is going to see the Dr. every two weeks now. Waiting for some test to get back from AL. Pray for some good results. Her counts looked good last week and hopefully will stay that way. She is such a joy to be around. When she smiles her whole face lights up. She has learned to give kisses. Continue to pray for Harley. She did have the MRI done and the doctors was rechecking her little eyes to make sure they are ok.

She gained a few more ounces, but I truly can't remember how many, so not to make a incorrect statement, I will wait until I find out for sure and post and let everyone know.

Today is Tuesday, June 8, 2004. Harley usually has a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. I will be updating after I hear from that check up.

Last week, she gained a few ounces. I believe they told me she is at 13 lbs. 8 ounces now.

She had to have her milk changed, cause it was making her sick at her stomach and causes weight loss. She needs to gain in order for the doctors to be able to do chemo on her. Then after chemo, they will do bone marrow transplant (when a donor is found).

Anyone wishing to send her or her brother a card, please feel free to do so. I will see that she gets them all.

Hello,

Today is Sunday, May 30, 2004. It has been fifteen days, since our baby Harley turned one year old.

Also, has been 5 days since our little friend, Barrett turned one year.

Both girls are precious little ones from God. Please continue to pray for all the sick babies and adults that needs prayers.

Volunteer and be a chemoangel if you want to make yourself as well as others feel happy. I have mailed or have ready to mail out around 100 cards that I have made (drew and colored) to just a fraction of the sick little ones that needs a smile to their faces.

Harley gained this past week. I was told she is now 13 lbs. 8 ounces.

The doctors did do her MRI this past week. I have not heard the results.
