Hello,

We hope you don’t mind that we leave this message on your guestbook. It is important that we get this message out to all families who have experienced childhood cancer in the state of Virginia.

Virginia DMV has agreed to design a specialty license plate for Childhood Cancer Awareness after 350 prepaid applications have been collected by the Childhood Cancer Awareness Foundation located in Chesapeake, Virginia.

If you are interested in obtaining this specialty license plate for your vehicle, please visit our website at http://www.HelpCancerKids.org

On 31 January 2009, the IRS approved our foundation as a 501(c) (3) public charity. The foundation was started by Tom and Joanne Kral of Chesapeake, Virginia as a way to honor Kristina Marie Kral, our 7 year old daughter who died of a rare and aggressive form of pediatric cancer, and to help other children diagnosed with cancer.

Order and prepay for your Childhood Cancer Awareness specialty license plate through our website for $25, plus a PayPal fee of $3. If we are unable to collect the required 350 prepaid applications, you will be reimbursed and your application shredded.

Thank you for your support for childhood cancer.

CREATE A PEPPER AT CHILI'S TO FIGHT CHILDHOOD CANCER!!!!

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Chili’s Grill & Bar® announced the kick-off of their fifth annual Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer campaign. Now through September 30, Chili’s restaurants around the country and, for the first time, in Puerto Rico, are marking National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by inviting people to get creative and raise funds to help St. Jude find cures and save children with cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
Guests at participating Chili’s restaurants can contribute to St. Jude in multiple ways:

- Make a donation to St. Jude and receive a Create-A-Pepper chili pepper coloring sheet designed for display at restaurants during the month.

- Purchase Create-A-Pepper T-shirts that can be customized with permanent marker.

- Buy a customized Create-A-Pepper key that can be cut for use at home or the office.

- Eat at Chili’s on Monday, Sept. 29, when Chili’s will donate 100 percent of profits from participating restaurant sales to St. Jude.

Visit www.createapepper.com and to make an online donation.

Hip hop, hippety hop
My “Easter Bunny” went off to the shop,
He bought me an egg and lots of chocs
And packed them into a cardboard box.
Then he wrapped it with paper and shiny string
It really was such a pretty thing.
Disaster struck when I opened the door-
He slid across the parquet floor,
He went round the corner and past the stairs
And finished up in a pile of chairs.
Of the Easter goodies not a trace,
he’d thrown them into my fireplace!
So a warning before you go opening doors
Make sure your “Bunny” has non-slip paws!

Happy Easter

With lots of love,

Everyone at Post Pals

Just writing to ask if you'd like a free gift from the "Kickin' Cancer Butt Store" (max $20 price). It really is FREE...we have been doing a big calendar fundraiser recently to try to send out free items to children who are featured on caringbridge. You may have noticed the banner for it on Share the Love as Chris's son Ronnie was featured in the calendar.

We do hats, t-shirts and kids hoodies and can customise them anyway you'd like. If you would like something, please let me know as soon as possible - don't forget to include the size you would like and the address you'd like it sent to and I'll do my best to get it sent out.

A PRAYER FOR CHRISTMAS

God Give Us eyes this Christmas
To see the Christmas Star.
And give us ears to hear the song
of angels from afar

And, with our eyes and ears attuned
for a message from above,
Let "Christmas Angels" speak to us
of hope and faith and love

Hope to light our pathway
When the way ahead is dark,
Hope to sing through stormy days,
with the sweetness of the lark

Faith to trust in things unseen
and know beyond all seeing
That it is in our Fathers love
We live and have our being

And love to break down barriers
of color, race and creed,
Love to see and understand
and help all those in need.

Lord, bless those we love this Christmas Day,be they near or far away Bless those good friends who mean so much and those with whom we're out of touch. We bring them all to You in prayer, and ask You to keep them in Your care.

Please know that you are thought of, in a very special way, not just this beautiful season but every day.

I am so very sorry to hear about the cataract. I know the eye doctor told me to watch my son because some of the side effects are glaucoma and cataracts, but it seemed such a long shot... and the blood clot, well I know I dont blame you for getting another opinion, I'd be terrified too. Please know we are all thinking of you and praying for Brandon.

Hey Brandon, a trophy and a new kitty! Wow, doesn't get much better than this, does it? You sound like a brave, gutsy sort of guy. My sister just had a transplant for AML and she's doing really good. I know from watching her go through it that it's not easy. But you did it! Take care and hang in there.

P.S. Ask you mom about CatNip. Meemo might REALLY like it. It makes my cats act really goofy and silly for a while.

Hey Brandon! I had APL and a BMT too! I'm about two and a half years out, a little less than you, but I feel great. One of my daughters, Caitlin, is a basketball player, like you. She always beats me really bad (I think she fouls alot though)-- Are you a basketball fan? We love the Sacramento Kings and have seen Chris Weber (very tall!) and Jason Williams (he's a Memphis Grizzly now) at our grocery store! You must be very strong to have gone through all that you went through. WAY TO GO! Good luck to you.

I want to commend you on being a great mother and caretaker. My husband is going through a BMT for relapsed AML/MDS and it is terrifying and heartbreaking to watch an adult go through this - I cannot imagine watching a child. You have done a great job with your son and this web site! Thank you for sharing your story - you have a beautiful little boy both inside and out. Best luck to you both!

Hi! I don't look very elegant but I use the plain color soft towelling shoe type slippers instead of shoes and I'm much more comfortable.

Good Luck with School

Brandon,

I love the pictures your mom posted on your site. You are one good-looking eight-year old! Best of luck to you as you continue your fight.

Colleen,
Thanks for the note. I came to visit the site to see your pictures finally.....they are great.....sad though too, huh? But, the news is great about counts and such. I hope it continues. Sorry I had to leave pedonc, but, maybe we can stay in touch privately now. Take care. All the best.

Colleen (and Brandon!),
I just visited your site to send lots of support and hugs and congrats on your latest news. You have been through so much, and I completely understand all of your emotions, as we have been through the same thing with our son Brian.....two BMTs (one at 9 mos old, the second at 2 1/2 yrs old), LOTS of acute and chronic GVHd, and all the developmental delays that go with all of this. He has known no other life, but like you Brandon, seems to still have such a great dispostion. You are both very brave, although, I know you don't have much choice in all of this, and you are both very special little boys who have brought much joy into all of our lives. I wish you success and health and happiness in your future. I'll keep up with you from your mom on the PED-ONC support group. Take care!!
P.S. Share your photos with us when you can on the photo page!!

Dreams do come true!!! George and I were so excited to hear about your test results. Yea!!!!!! I don't know who was happier Mommy or you. Can you imagine no more pills, no more tests to worry about, no more worry about infections, no more painful test....Brandon you are such a brave boy. You have such a strong Mommy that was there every step of the way to make it as easy as possible for you. But now you both can take such a big breath and hopefully breath a little easier. I don't know why families have to go through this. God is making you strong for a reason. He is always with you and will never let you down.
We are so glad that we got to meet your family and that Gregory also got to know such a special little boy. We will always hold on to those wonderful pictures that you would slip under his door to try and cheer him up.
Your strength and courage has been an example to many. You have always been able to make lemonade out of lemons. We will always remember your family and you will always have a special spot in our hearts....
