oh jennifer...i still check in on you. i'm about the worst when it comes to keeping in touch. sorry about that. i too hope it's not your husband you're referring to. if so, i can relate in so many ways. through this whole cancer experience we got so close, but there have been many struggles since. i'll be thinking of you often and hoping for the best.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, and my heart truly goes out to you. My mom had that also. I know it's a very, very hard disease. I will remember to pray for your dad each day. Please keep us posted.
I'll also pray for your school situation, I know that must break your heart, and it can be VERY expensive. Oh boy..

Somehow, I found your webpage....I have reviewed it a number of times, but have never signed. I always feel like when I step out and talk to other "breast cancer survivor", I am their worst nightmare!! I was Dx. in June 2000 (30 yrs.old) when my oldest was 3 1/2 and my youngest was 8 months old. So, we have something in common! But we found out this darn cancer returned exactly 3 yrs ago. It's been a fight, and it's thankfully still going on. I have cycled through and am on my 5th different chemo. regimen since I retarted 3 yrs. ago. I am a Christian and a big "runner" which I know has kept me sane!! :) So far, I have never stopped running throughout all of this! My husband is wonderful and my kids the biggest blessing.....so, we have that in common too!! I homeschooled my kids, (well, my daughter for K, 1st and 2nd, and my son, just for Kindergarten) until this past Sept. when they started school for the first time. That was some special time with them. They goto a Christian school too. Anyway, you can check out my website if you want, but I just thought I'd better leave a note this time. Your girls are beautiful, how lucky to have THREE!!! Keep up with those "clear" reports. It's great to hear about those!! Enjoy the 3 day weekend!!

I'm so glad to hear that your tests were all clear.
I will keep your Dad in my prayers. That is great that he was able to quit smoking. I'm sure it was VERY hard and he should be proud of the accomplishment.
I'm so sorry you have to leave the school your girls have been attending. Change is always an emotional thing. It sounds like the new school may be a good fit though and you are certainly going into it with the right mindset and plenty of enthusiasm. Getting involved will give you a vested interest and sense of belonging in no time I'm sure.

So sorry about the girls' school. That is so sad. I am very happy that you were picked first for the charter school. That is good news!!! My family all went to Christian school...so I know what you mean. My dad worked out a payment plan for my younger sister when he started having troubles. Always something to think about.

Glad to see an update. So glad that your blood results were good!!! I totally understand the money stress. I have done pretty good on EBAY in the past, as well as yard sales. And even doing street fairs selling crocheted blankets, and handmade baby outfits. It isn't to hard to make, and they are really cute. Plus now I am considering doing daycare. Not sure though... it is hard with three little kids all on different schedules, and Sammy's doctor's appointments.

My friend got up and testified at church this week she is CANCER FREE! (Remember Bonnie?) Her hair is growing back and she looked great. She had a standing ovation.

Good Morning Jennifer! I just wanted to stop by and let you know that I'm thinking of you. My friend still hasn't decided. She meets with another oncologist today, which is now the third. We had a nice talk yesterday after school and she is really scared. She said that she feels like the people feel down south when the hurricanes are coming. She is scared of how bad it will be, and how difficult it will be when it is over. So please continue to keep her in your prayers. She is thinking of her students first and doesn't want to miss Christmas with them. Hopefully she will decide quickly. It's much easier to say when I'm not wearing her shoes but I worry.
Sorry I just dumped this on you again. You've been a great listener and I appreciate it.

It was so good to hear from you! I can't imagine what life would be like if it was me dealing with cancer. I remember coming home after being gone so long, and it was really different, and a real adjustment. You were so busy "surviving", it will take a while. You've got so much to live for with your beautiful family. I just finished reading an awesome book, "Voices From the Edge" about different cancer survivors. One woman, young like you survived breast cancer and wrote:" I have a profound love for life, and I will turn this personal adversity into something wonderful and meaningful for many people". I know your testimony will do the same for others Jennifer! God bless you!

Funny...our eyebrows looks pretty similar. I "actually" had to go buy an eyebrow pencil, something I NEVER thought I'd have to do. I had the bushiest eyebrows ever! Stranger yet, I still have hair growing in tiny splotches on my head, some on my legs still and I still have ALL my arm hair. Um, I shave the head...who wants to have a hair here...a hair there, etc.
Anyways, enough about me. I hope all is well with you. Almost half way done with the radiation. Were you hormone positive...will you have to take Tomoxifen? Just wondering. I realized I never asked you that :-)

I just read your last post and was surprised to see you have insomnia...so do I...and it's no fun, is it? Although, as your mom can probably tell you, it CAN be productive! I've even vacuumed at 2 in the morning. Usually I get up to let the dog out and then once I'm up, it's not easy to get back to sleep. So...if you find something that works well for insomnia, please let me know! I need all the beauty rest I can get :)
Anyway, I really hope this radiation is going well for you. I know it can't be easy and you are on my daily prayer list. Please know that there are countless numbers of people praying for you and that is all we have sometimes. I know you will beat this!
Thank you also for the info on the movie Saving Milly. I taped it and will watch it this weekend. I think I had heard the story before but am anxious to watch the movie.

I "think" that today is your last chemo treatment and I am really thinking of you today. You must be relieved, but I understand your worry as well. There's only so much you can do and then you pray that there's no bad cancer cells lurking. Most of the time chemo is so successful for breast cancer so just keep that in your mind at all times. I am so sorry that you are having such a rough time! Cancer is ROTTEN that is for sure and no one should ever have to go through it. A positive attitude helps, but it is impossible not to worry and that certainly makes a positive attitude hard to maintain. What a catch 22! I sure hope your spirits are climbing and hope that knowing so many people love and care about you eases the burden a little. Please take care of yourself and feel as well as you possibly can.
You are so right about fatigue .... it is so different than just being tired and those who have never suffered with it don't understand.
Every time I talk to Marlene, Angie or Emmalee they ask about you and of course Dad is so concerned as am I. We all love you Jen and are praying that things go as easily for you as they can. Just get through each day and soon it will all be years behind you and life will be normal again.

Julie sent me your journal so I could share your journey. I was diagnosed with breast cancer yesterday and am researching my options. This is one club that I didn't want to join. I'm still in the shock stage but am moving forward and making plans for treatment.
