I lost your web page address & haven't checked in in a while. Got it from Kimberly & Laramie and they tell me you are doing well! So many prayers answered! My husband is a cancer survivor of 3+ years, and I understand a bit of the challenge you are dealing with. You do thank God for every day with loved ones! I see your name in the L-SCC fall catalog for a technology course I need, Mrs. L...but Kimberly says there may be a change in your plans?!? I would surely love to take another class with you! Glad to find your page & I'll check in more often. You are a wonderful writer, with a difficult subject matter!Meantime, you & Jozef and Austin and Logan have a good summer and keep beating this thing! (Cancer and the potty!) I'm so glad to hear about Paige. We have touched base with them a couple of times. She actually had her transplant the day after Cassidy! I'm stopping by to catch up on the news and to spend some time praying for you and your family. Here in Oregon we are waiting for the rain to go away, so summer can finally arrive. Stephanie & RachelJoy <mom2rj@comcast.com> - Saturday, May 29, 2004 7:48 PM CDT WOW!!! That left hook is great. Watch out Oscar De La Hoya! Gotta watch those little ones with the superman capes. When I was a kid, (we won't go into how long ago that was) I jumped off the house with a towel cape. I was amazed that I failed to fly. The ground caught me though. Ken, Fran and Robert Canyon Lake, TX - Saturday, May 29, 2004 7:12 PM CDT Kelley, I know why you miss teaching those middle schoolers! Two words...SUMMER BREAK! Good luck with the potty training. One of our APs had six children, she said she never tried to potty train, when they were ready, they went in the potty! Great philosophy. She said she never sent one to school in diapers. Good Luck to Austin on the surgery. What a way to start the summer. You could have at least scheduled it when he could have gotten sympathy from the girls at school! I think about you everyday! Amy Cockcroft Amy Cockcroft <g8tramy@cs.com> Clermont, FL usa - Friday, May 28, 2004 6:49 PM CDT Sounds great guys! I am glad Logan is doing well. Love, Sherry & Mikey caringbridge.org/fl/mikey <spotsmithm6@cs.com> - Friday, May 28, 2004 6:41 PM CDT No way! STEVE is WAY cooler than Joe! But we agree that the Wiggles and Cailou are so much fun! You must try Dragon Tales! Congratulations on going poo-poo in the potty! Have you asked for ice cream cones as a reward? That's what we did - and boy, our mom was THRILLED to give them - even for breakfast! We hope you are doing well. Mom said that Cassidy's mom is going to stop by and say hi tonight. They just got home yesterday! We have missed them so much. We will say prayers for Austin's surgery tonight. Tell Logan we think he is cute! You must have the patience of a saint! At the point where Logan vomited on the carpet I think I would have sat down and cried - then called my husband to come home to help clean up. I hope you have invested in a good steam cleaner for the rug. Funny how animals always like to do it on a rug eh? Right now I am looking a too presents from my cat - and she picked the only two areas with rug in the entire main floor. Hope tomorrow and the rest of the week are bodily fluid free! Oh - I love the new playset - it looks like a lot of fun! Sue (from the ALL list), Katie and Family Ottawa, Ontario Canada - Sunday, May 23, 2004 8:19 PM CDT Well written, I know what you mean! Love, Sherry & Mikey caringbridge.org/fl/mikey <spotsmithm6@cs.com> - Wednesday, May 19, 2004 11:23 PM CDT Hi Logan and Kelley, I came to visit from another site. Logan is a cute little boy. Want to let you know your in our prayers, love from Kim m/o Michelle http://www.caringbridge.org/canada/michelle :) P.S. Hope everything goes alright tomorrow. Kimberley Clayton <michelle9kim@yahoo.ca> Guelph, ON, Canada - Wednesday, May 19, 2004 8:02 PM CDT Hi Logan - I might have some help for your mommy on the potty issue. I just waited until summer and then let my kids go naked from the waist down. My son loved peeing on the bushes or using the potty on the deck. This only works if you have fairly liberal neighbours - or don't care what they think (as was our case). For some reason it helped them "get" it. It did take us a while to convince him the toilet was as fun as the bushes - he kept asking to go outside to go pee. (too funny!) Anyway good luck with that. Sounds like you've got you parents well trained on the food thing. Katie had us giving her ice cream for breakfast for a while. Until we realized she was gaining weight on treatment instead of loosing it :). Sue (from the ALL list) and Katie Ottawa, Ontario Canada - Saturday, May 15, 2004 10:30 PM CDT Logan, I don't know if I've visited your site before, but I'm glad I did now. As mommy to a 21 year old and a 16 year old, I can really appreciate the genius of young minds - without the danger of them learning anything from you! I have been giggling ever since I got here! I hope you have a great weekend, and go a little easy on Mom, she's feeling a little crappy. *wink* Laura Piper mom to Dani (http://www.caringbridge.org/ia/danisdiary) <laurapiper@hotmail.com> - Friday, May 14, 2004 11:45 AM CDT Logan, that's pure GENIUS! This is cool. With Kendrie in here contributing her brainpower too, I do believe that we officially have a "Think Tank". We'll have to come up with a name...everybody fears organized groups. How about The Troubled Trio Think Tank, or Devious Dudes & Dudettes Inc? Just think of the havoc we can wreak with our collective deviousness! I'm going to go to the fridge, toss the pickles in the garbage and throw a tantrum for some baby dills right now. Sticking it to The Man, Julianna Banan-archy <tjosephson@shaw.ca> Winnipeg, Canada - Friday, May 14, 2004 8:40 AM CDT Hey, Logan, here's another eating trick I've been pulling on my parents --- when they take you to a restaurant or bakery, order something, then take one bite and say you don't like it but that you're still hungry, so then they will have to order you something else. Then, insist on taking everything home in a doggy bag and then don't eat it once you get home, either. Mom and Dad will be mad because #1, money doesn't grow on trees (at least that's the silly thing my mom keeps saying) and #2, it's embarrassing for them to have to explain to the waiters why the food isn't eaten but they still want to take it home. The whole thing is great fun, really!!! If I think of other ways to aggrevate my parents, I'll fill you in, too! Kendrie, as dictated to her mom Kristie Kendrie's Page <kristieokc@cox.net> Byron (Robins AFB), GA - Thursday, May 13, 2004 8:16 PM CDT Hi lil bro, I found you from lil sis Banana. I laugh at her all the time and now I can laugh at you too. I can see you 2 making plans to make a list of foods that they can not get where you live and then when they find it not eating it. Maybe I can try that. Think it will work? Love and Prayers, Chance Mikkis boyfriend and Big Bro to Mitchell, Connor and any one else who wants me Chance <harleyga@bellsouth.net> Ga USA - Thursday, May 13, 2004 5:35 PM CDT Hang in there Logan, this potty business is one of the toughies. Personally, I think it's a big people scam...I mean heck, we can get them to cater to every other beck and call with a good scream or two. Suddenly after a couple of years our mommies and daddies are TOO GOOD to wipe out butts now?! I think they're all just getting lazy. So take it from me, an old Purple Heart war vet of the Great Potty War, if you start going potty on your own, make'm pay some other way. I find the old "whine for a hard to prepare food then don't eat it when it's cooked" bit works like a charm, give it a try. Luv, Julianna Banana <tjosephson@shaw.ca> Winnipeg, Canada - Monday, May 10, 2004 12:32 AM CDT Ha, I just had to laugh at your story about the potty training. I have to admit, it's most likely the ONE thing at the top of my "things I don't miss about toddlerhodd" list. :) Best of luck, I know Logan will get the hang of it!! Melony <mellygirl70@comcast.net> Valparaiso, IN - Thursday, January 22, 2004 12:25 AM CST I am a former student of Mrs. Lozicki at LSCC...our class was with her shortly after Logan was diagnosed. We all admired her courage in sticking with our class but still putting her family first. At the start of each class session we clamored for a "Logan update"...we cheered when he was feeling better and empathized and prayed for him when he had bad days. I am so happy to have found a mutual friend at my church who guided me to this web page. Logan & the entire family is and will be on my small group's prayer list 'til he is out of the woods! Keep the faith and thanks for the updates on this precious baby. Susan Van Metre <Weaselfans@juno.com> Clermont, FL USA - Monday, January 19, 2004 9:30 PM CST Joe, Kelley, Austin, & Logan For the nights I've spent with you all, from those first horrifying days all the way to today and the days to come, remember, always, that you are not alone. A simple phone call or an e-mail, remember to reach out to us, for we are here for you, at any time or any place you have need of us. I believe with that all my heart that things will be fine, for you and the family. That the most important thing in all of this is your spirits and the strength you've found as a family. I've seen all of you so determined, all pulling towards one purpose, one goal; that Logan will get well, Logan will be happy, Logan will be comfortable. I believe in you all. I pray for you all. I am with you all. Love Uncle Ra-Rop P.S. I'd like to reserve my dent in the living room couch indefinitely. Robert J. I hope you are hanging in there. We had the same thing happen with Cassidy and the port (actually quite a few times in the hospital) and it never affected her too bad. I hope the same is true for Logan. He looks great! Chris Guenther <keywest@fdn.com> Orlando, FL - Sunday, December 14, 2003 4:37 PM CST Kelley, I'm sorry that you and Logan are going through a tough time right now. In some ways it is easier that they don't really understand what is going on with them - sometimes I wish I could be like my Katie and not wake up every morning to the realization of leukemia and chemo. She just figures everybody has to have a port and weekly pokes and take pills. It's a hard job to see our kids through this! Take a break if you can - it helps you to stay sane, especially during those steriod days.
