gosh i cannot imagine not being able to come on every now and then and see his kindergarten picture and his baseball team pic...i cannot imagine wondering is he still so healthy and happy and not being able to see his beautiful face smiling through my puter letting me know that he kicked cancers butt!!! that is the selfish me not wanting to be cut off from all of you beautiful people...but the other me knows how hard it is to always have to remember the sadness and stress and pain that you all went through in these pages and would probably love some closure and just be able to move on and enjoy the life that God has given you...so all i can say is may God bless you on your decision and have a wonderful life!!! if you close this down i understand and will never forget!!!

Your Mom is right ... you do a GREAT job with your entries. Sorry I'm no help on celebration ideas, but I do like the idea of a pinata. Maybe if you can't find a syringe or pill bottle style, you could get a round one and write CANCER in the middle of it and then put a big, fat *NO* over it or something.

You do not know me, but I have been following your journey for several months after coming to your page through I think Julianna Banana or Jacob's Caring Bridge page. Your smile and gorgeous brown eyes kept drawing me back to check in and see how you were doing.

I don't think I have ever signed your guestbook, but after your mom's journal entry, I just really wanted to (her birthday is the day before mine, March 8th, and I also turned 37 - gulp). I have two children, Morgan and Grant and am in the process to adopt a baby girl from Guatemala. My children have not had the battle that you have, but two good friends of ours have. We live in Louisville, KY.

My son is participating in St. Baldrick's and shaving his head in support of childhood cancer this Sunday in honor of our friend Conor who is currently in remission and on maintenance for ALL. He and his family have been such an inspiration (much like yours).

Your special trip as well as your great home makeover sure are amazing and it is obvious how much you are loved and cared for. You have a wonderful future to look forward to and I look forward to following your journey.

hey my daughter had an imaginary friend and pitched a fit everytime someone sat down because they sat on HIM ...i took her to my family dr and asked if i should seek counciling as it was becoming an obsession...he laughed loudly and told me NO!! he studied psychology in college and they say that it is a sign of genius...not to encourage it as it was a stage that would pass but not to worry about it as it was harmless..but wow...genius...wow... she was an only child for 7 1/2 years and i think she was lonely and it filled the void but heck i will call it genius!!!lol logan is such a beautiful little genius!!!!happy holidays!!!

Rick and I love Logan so much, but unfortunately we work and are out of town a lot of the time. Hi Logan! Wow, we are leading parallel lives --- diagnosed last year (you a little earlier than me ... you some kind of overachiever or something?) the glass bubble thing with our moms for the past year, and now we are PRE-K STUDENTS!!!!! (can you hear the applause in the background?) Yeah for us!!! My mom took lots of photos the first day, too. After a while I just ignored her and pretended she was someone else's mom. I even elbowed a few kids around me and asked them, "do you know who that crazy lady with the camera is?" Eventually she gave up and went home, whew. I hope you love school as much as I do! I just finished signing Cassidy's guestbook, I so wish that they didn't have to live out this nightmare. Thank you for pointing me their way via the ALL-KIDS list so that I could add my prayers to their fight.

The funk thing that you mentioned? Jeez lady, you are MORE than entitled to feel that way from time to time!! If anyone gives you grief, just tell them that you're a funky mama.

When we get our wish trip to Orlando in order, we'll have to get our families together and have a big pity party! (or maybe not...do we really want to put Logan and Julianna in the same room to start plotting against us?!).

I know why you miss teaching those middle schoolers! Two words...SUMMER BREAK! Good luck with the potty training. One of our APs had six children, she said she never tried to potty train, when they were ready, they went in the potty! Great philosophy. She said she never sent one to school in diapers.
Good Luck to Austin on the surgery. What a way to start the summer. You could have at least scheduled it when he could have gotten sympathy from the girls at school!

Hi Logan -

I might have some help for your mommy on the potty issue. I just waited until summer and then let my kids go naked from the waist down. My son loved peeing on the bushes or using the potty on the deck. This only works if you have fairly liberal neighbours - or don't care what they think (as was our case). For some reason it helped them "get" it. It did take us a while to convince him the toilet was as fun as the bushes - he kept asking to go outside to go pee. (too funny!) Anyway good luck with that.

Sounds like you've got you parents well trained on the food thing. Katie had us giving her ice cream for breakfast for a while. Until we realized she was gaining weight on treatment instead of loosing it :).

Hey, Logan, here's another eating trick I've been pulling on my parents --- when they take you to a restaurant or bakery, order something, then take one bite and say you don't like it but that you're still hungry, so then they will have to order you something else. Then, insist on taking everything home in a doggy bag and then don't eat it once you get home, either. Mom and Dad will be mad because #1, money doesn't grow on trees (at least that's the silly thing my mom keeps saying) and #2, it's embarrassing for them to have to explain to the waiters why the food isn't eaten but they still want to take it home. The whole thing is great fun, really!!! If I think of other ways to aggrevate my parents, I'll fill you in, too!

Hang in there Logan, this potty business is one of the toughies. Personally, I think it's a big people scam...I mean heck, we can get them to cater to every other beck and call with a good scream or two. Suddenly after a couple of years our mommies and daddies are TOO GOOD to wipe out butts now?! I think they're all just getting lazy. So take it from me, an old Purple Heart war vet of the Great Potty War, if you start going potty on your own, make'm pay some other way. I find the old "whine for a hard to prepare food then don't eat it when it's cooked" bit works like a charm, give it a try.

Hi, Kelley, I had to laugh at the thought of Logan being upset that he didn't get to stay in the waiting room and play with the toys! Who would have imagined that our kids would wind up *wanting* to spend extra time in the clinic? Reminds me of a few weeks ago when we had to stay half an hour after Kendrie's appt was finished, because she wouldn't leave the exam room until "Free Willy" was done! Thank goodness there wasn't another kid waiting on the room!!

I hope Logan is feeling better soon. "Spring"-colds can be the worst!

My first time to look at the Web page about Logan. The web page is great and informative. It sounds like his chemo treatments are going okay.

We just returned from our 26 day cruise on Dec, 5th. We had a great time; good weather, great food and entertainment. We met a lot of nice people. We are now getting ready for Christmas; have been Christmas shopping twice. I will bake some Christmas cookies next week. We will be driving to Debbie's on Dec.23 and probably return on Dec. 26th. Hope your family has a good holiday. We will continue to look at the Web page and see how Logan is doing.
