Megan,

I know your uncle Mark through a mutual game we play that allows us to become friends almost as closely as it would meeting in the real world. We get to hear of the love and strength of each other's family's, and heroic adventures such as your own journey. Keep doing what you are doing, there are many people caring and rooting for you that you may never even know about :-)

Hi Meghan, we've never met, but I'm a friend of your Mom's in St. Louis, whom she knows through work. I've been way too out of touch with your news lately, but you've been on my mind. I wanted you to know that you have a very profound effect on so many people - even people that you don't know - like me! You are my heroine - the one I want to emulate when I seek courage and strength. You're such an inspiration. The Lord looks after us all, but I know he has a very special love for you. Thank you for being so strong. You'll continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,

I can't believe how grown up Meg looks!!! It has been too long since I last checked in, but I'm so happy to hear things are going well. Meg sounds so much like Matthew! Matthew loves to be at home, isn't very social, and isn't excited about driving (he'll be 15 in SEPT). Too bad we don't live closer. If you're ever in the Philadelphia area, let me know :)

Hard to believe summer is almost over. Enjoy the last few days.

Meg sounds like Liz right now..not that into school work, though more confident since we moved her to a new small school...struggles with social groups..we are her support and friend. We are looking at the site knowing just how good God is and that your family is doing just what they need to be doing ---- having fun and not worrying about a thing. Check in with Grandpa Heisler from time to time on what's happening. Know that our group is keeping you and your family lifted in prayer. We are praising God that He is using Megan to be a light to light the path of others. What an awesome testimony you have. Just thinking back, the pink crutches were cute, just temporary. Hi from St. Louis!
I've been thinking about you and wondering if you are getting things ready for school? The good thing about going back to school is......Shopping!!
Joe is out of the hospital again. He is beginning to feel like a pin cushion. He looks like one too. He said we might have to come to Springfield sometime soon and refill our hug bank. I swear he just can't get enough of those.
He seems to need them from just one person and it's not me!
Jackson and Rufus are totally nuts this morning, I wish I could have some of what they are on.

Hi Sunshine!
Thankyou for the hugs!! We feel much better now.
Have I ever told you how great you are? Well, we think you are one tough person. You have been through the ringer and back and some how you keep finding a reason to smile. I think your great!!
Joe said that each morning when he can put his feet on the floor and stand up he says a little prayer of thanks and knows that he can take on the day no matter what.
Sometimes when we are feeling a little down we take a step back and look at all we have done and somehow what we were thinking was a big deal is not so big after all.
Glad you had a good time in Hawaii. I love your new pictures on this site. Joe especially likes the one of you and the helicoptor.
Rufus and Jackson are clueless about most things but they are happy and can play, eat and sleep like nobody's business!! Good for them.
Take care and love you always.

Hi Meg and family,
So glad to hear all is going well with your family. I do
think of you often and always ask Beth how you are Meg. We have had a busy winter, Olivia was here for a week in February, Emmie & Kelsey for 10 days in March and Wil and his Mom & Dad went home last Saturday. Steve & I are getting ready to close up and head north this Sunday. It will be nice to be near the kids for the sumer. I'm already booked through June for babysitting.

I hope you all (actually I'm sure you will) have a great trip. It sounds like such fun.

Maybe we will get to see you this summer if you come to NC.

Have a good summer.

Happy Easter!!
Did you do anything fun? I bet you did.
How many eggs did you find? Rufus sat on his window perch and watched the bunnies hop by. We have wild bunnies that hang around the bushes by his window. He thinks they are his friends.
Joe decided this week he is tired of feeling not so good and he is not going to feel that way this week. This week is pick yourself up and get with the program week. No whining, no feeling sorry for yourself and nooooooo pouting! The only thing you can do is think good thoughts, do nice things for people and make everyone smile and for goodness sakes be happy!!!
So join us in having a great week and don't let anything get you down. If anything does give it to God because you are way too busy to worry all day.
We love you and miss you lots,
Love

Good Morning to you
Good Morning to you
Good Morning dear sunshine
Good Morning to you!!
I think it's pretty cool you hopped on your bike and are riding it again. Way to go!
It's been so long since Joe and I have been on one I think we would have to start with training wheels again.
Joe was wondering if you would get a suitcase big enough he could go to Hawaii with you? I told him I didn't think so and he is pouting. What a baby.
Rufus and Jackson send big kitty kisses to Red! Silly cats.
Not much going on here other than we need hugs from our favorite cousin in Springfield. Not sure when we can get away as Joe hasn't been feeling too good this past couple of weeks. He is still upbeat in his attitude and singing goofy songs in the morning. What a nut!
Well take care and keep riding that bike. Totally awesome.
Love you alwasys

I am so thrilled to see her doing so well now. Although I do not personally know your family, I keep you in my prayers. I received the link to this page about a year and a half to two years ago from Deb Mullinax and I have continued to "look in" from time to time and reading your family's story has shown me how to better appreciate my own family. Thank God for miracles like yours.

Hi there!!
Happy Monday and all that. I am leaving Joe for the week so he is going to be a little lonely all by his little lonesome. You might have to sign his guest book and make sure he is behaving himself.
Hope all is well in Springfield. Just think in a few short months you'll be on summer break and having some fun.
I hope we get to see you soon.
We sold our cabin down at the lake so I have to go down and clean everything out right quick. We are a little sad but won't be for too long. Got to spread sunshine as much as we can.
Talk to you real soon.
Take care and hug your family for us.

Hi there sunshine,
Are you on spring break yet? That must be coming up soon and a trip to Hawaii. Joe wants to know if he will fit in your suitcase?

Rufus and Jackson are enjoying their new kitty perches in the window. I hung a bird feeder so they can watch them hop around. They just love it.

Hope all is well in school and you are keeping busy. Joe is making a stained glass sun catcher for me to hang in the window. I don't know what it is yet because he won't let me see it.

Take care and hope to see you soon.

Hi Meghan!
I have read alot of your messages.....Great Guns! DID you know that God loves you more than anything, and if you will just put ALL your heart into God, and all HIS promises, looking towards HIM the author and finisher of your Faith, constantly thanking HIM for your healings...and continue to Thank Him for those healings, knowing HE will perform His promises for you no matter what?
I am praying for you, we will take you before the THrone room and pray for you with lots of people agreeing for a full recovery. Matthew 18:18 & 19 bank on God's word. I am in agreement with my fellow believers that the tumor/tumors, will shrink- cutting off all protein, oxygen, and sugars from all cancers anywhere in your body and replacing them with the blood of Jesus. Jesus' blood is cleansing, pray Jesus will cleans your whole system and every cell....All cells lining up with God's word. We love you. Keep hanging on no matter what! Think on God's goodness, and HIS promises. I have just been given a clean bill of health from a clear, clean, no bumps, clumps, tumors, or masses in my body.....It was a long haul. I never let go of God no matter what...Look to Him only. It is hard. But force yourself to think on the goodness and healing powers God has for you. God is a God that heals. Believe it. Rest and take care of your body. Eat healthy foods, foods that heal. Speak forth LIFE to your body.
Seek out Good Godly people to be around. Accept all of God's promises for you. No matter what you are told. YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION FOR SO MANY >!< Little LOVE of GOD HOLD ON TO JESUS...FIX your EYES on JESUS in 2006! ONly.
In JESUS' Services, iLa J. Willis Blessings..... (*J*)

Hello Heislers - Great to see Meghan on that horse looking so good! A natural with the animals, obviously - I'll never forget the picture with the dolphin.

I'm working at Columbia University Medical Center now, raising funds for the Pediatric Oncology Dept. It's been fantastic.

Anyway, I just checked in and wanted to say "Hi".

The count down is starting........to Spring! We can't wait. It's like new life when everything turns green and the flowers begin to bloom. This spring we will Thank God for making it extra beautiful for all of us to appreciate.

I think of you every day. I wonder what you are doing? Probably you are being very good, never bothering anyone, no laughing, just quiet, reflective and never causing any trouble. Oops....Joe just told me I forgot who I was writing to. Can you believe the nerve of some guys!!! Who does he think he is? Why... if we would have had some snow this year I would really sock it to him! I may just sock it to him anyway....just for fun.
Rufus and Jackson say MEOW baby cakes.....GOT MICE!!!
Never a dull moment around these two furr faces.
I can't believe we missed Nick's hockey game. We were home and smarty pants left his cell phone in the closet.
Call us again and we'll try to do better next time.

Well we wish for you great days, lots of laughter, never a serious moment unless it's for hugs and a visit with us very soon.
Love you always

Meg, you don't know me and I'm sorry I don't even remember whose CB webpage I got yours from. I read your story and it touched my heart. My little girl began battling her brain tumor December 22nd, 2004. She spent Christmas in the hospital after having most of her tumor removed. She then spent her 7th Birthday in the hospital for extensive inpatient rehab. She was in the hospital for almost 2 months. Having gone through what the 2 of you have, is going to make you such very strong women! I am very proud of you! Keep up the good work! I take it you love horses also? I have one, Bobbi, and Kaitlyn and I love to spend a lot of time with her.
