Theresa's Web Page

On Dec. 7, 2004, we posted our "final" entry in the liver journal. We re-open this journal December 2005 as a way to keep in touch with our family and friends as Theresa puts up one more feisty battle against cancer.

Journal

I thought is would be fun to add a journal on 6/6/06!

Claire is officially graduated from high school, diploma and all. She just got her dorm assignment and is not happy about a Cedar Rapid's girl across the hall! She wanted to get away from these people! It's only beginning! Next week is orientation.

Maggie officially finished with middle school and is now sporting a new cell phone because ALL high schooler's need one. Righhht. It's only beginning...

I've had a few days of challenges with headaches, potty issues, and lowering my tube feedings. Hospice has been here every step to help out and while I'm tired, today I'm feeling better. The lesson of living day to day, moment by moment keeps coming up and I have yet to master it. Probably because it's not all the fun to "be in the present" when your head is thumping like a bass drummer gone crazy. There's a lot of summer to enjoy, I look forward to more strength and energy.

Kirk continues to be the premier caregiver and bread winner. Pelco, his employer, continues to understand and we appreciate that gift so much.

Flowers are blooming (the ones the deer haven't eaten) and growing, the trees are so green and full, so we won't talk about the mosquitos and gnats! We appreciate this summer beauty and appreciate all of your continued support through calls, cards, letters, karma rockets, prayers, etc. Thank you for caring.

Love,
Theresa
